Remarks

My college has a lot so it can be best not only in our city or state but also in a country. But we are lacking planning which has clarity and implementation of the same. We need to be more optimistic and our college has to build some basic infrastructure and facilities where they are lacking and guidance support for every stream of students so we can do better in future and obviously at present which requires teamwork but before that leader should be there who can take all people's accountability and start this thing.

Merit List

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course curriculum is pretty clear and helpful for everybody who wants to pursue a civil service exam after graduation because syllabi of my course are a base for almost every competitive exam. But it can be more specific as some part of my syllabus is outdated and unimportant so it should be updated to some practical aspect.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know exactly but I think they may provide an internship as I have never heard about it anywhere in my college but there's possible because our college is a very old college and big college as far as the campus, students, courses, faculties are concerned.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are no placements for our stream in any college but yes there are opportunities for us. As we are arts students so first and foremost opportunity for us is to enroll for competitive exams and we can easily crack it than any other stream students because we don't have to do any practicals and lectures are also not compulsory so we can start self study from the first day of our college and do it for 3 years and finally our chances to crack any government exam are increased. Other opportunities are we can be a professor after doing masters and Ph.D. Or more.

College Events

4

We have a rich culture of events and different and different activities of our college. We have events from the start of course to the end of it. We have sports, cultural programs called'NOWROS' according to the concerned year. Also, we have activities for all departments of their own for example the psychology department has their fest as "beautiful minds" where they arrange all types of activities, quizzes, competitions, performances and so on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yeah, that's a relevant question as I was waiting for it from the time I have started answering your questions. Actually, our fee structure is also pretty clear it's like our country's living structure. We have to pay fees according to our castes. Actually, we don't have expensive fees it's feasible and affordable for every student because the government gives us a few scholarships as per caste, marks and more. I had a 10000/- fees for 1st year and I am from a general category so it's not so much as far as private colleges are concerned, ours is a college where government aid is present.

Fees and Financial Aid

After a year spent in our college, we can apply for a government scholarship for the second year, as I already mentioned I'm from a general category so all students can apply this scholarship who got 75% and more marks in the first year. After processing and different approvals and the online process, we get 12,000/- Rs. once in a 3 years course. So that's a lot for us.

Campus Life

3.5

That's my favorite question because our college is lagging behind in academics but we have rich and diverse opportunities for extracurricular things. We have a library where almost 1.5 lac books are present from almost all fields and it is accessible for all students of our college who have a library card and number, so we can read anything we want and rate students who come regularly to our library are quite high. Also, we have a big playground and an assembly hall where all our events happen. Also, we have NCC and NSS services. I have enrolled in NSS where we do activities for nation building like cleanliness campaign in college and nearby area, tree plantation campaign, a camp for 7days in a rural area for development and planning of that village. These all things promote and helps us to build and develop our personality and attitude for nation building and optimism.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Actually, I don't use the hostel because I live with my family and my college is far from my house but we have a public transport facility for that. But I know a little bit about the hostel because one of my friend who came from the rural area use it. According to him and my observation, hostels are lacking infrastructure and other facilities because the applicant rate for a hostel is huge as compared to the availability of the same.

Alumni/Alumna

Actually, our alumni are there but we don't know a lot about them but we have senior students in our contact who helps us in almost everything problem we face and to figure out the solutions of the same.

Exam Structure

It's quite simple. There are two semesters per year. 1st semester is held by college and the final semester of each year is organized by the university which is held in college. Syllabus for the 1st semester is half of the whole year's syllabi.

Admission

After the merit list was displayed, I filled the admission form online and took printouts of the same and went to the college office with all necessary documents and fees. After that process, I filled my fees and finally, I choose subjects for the course and eventually I got the division for 1st year class, that's it.

Faculty

4

It's not a very hard question because it is very easy to describe faculties if you have attended lectures of all teachers. Our faculty is a mixture of good, better and supportive teachers. Some teachers take almost all lectures according to schedule but more than half faculty don't take lectures daily and some exceptional teachers not even take lectures once in a week, that's tragedic. When I joined this college last year, I was very excited and enthusiastic to attend all lectures, later on, we found that lectures don't happen and subsequently, our interest or passion declined. Although, our faculty have experienced people and that's a relief for us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.
