The institute offers the variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in multiple disciplines. The list of courses consists of BA (Bachelor of Arts), B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science), B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce), MA (Master of Arts), M.Sc. (Master of Science), MCA (Master of Computer Application), M.Com (Master of Commerce). The application form for all programs offers by MU IDOL is available on the official website of Mumbai University. The application fee varies from INR 300 to INR 600 for different programs.
Candidates who wish to apply for any program are required to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the university. The minimum eligibility for UG courses is class 12 with not less than 50% marks while for master’s programs, applicants must have a graduate degree in relevant discipline with at least 50% of marks. There is relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates SC/ ST/ OBC.

Mumbai University, Institute of Distance and Open Learning (Mumbai University IDOL) provides the scholarship to eligible candidates. Government Scholarship is available in some courses for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/VJ-NT/SBC). Interested and eligible applicants can submit their application through Social Welfare website while ST students can apply through Tribal Welfare Dept. website.
