Likes
- The thing i like the most about the college is the extracurricular activities as it builds strength in us, the faculty is very knowledgeable and supportive.
- The campus is so neat and clean, it is plastic free, there is no ragging in the college and I can take guarantee for that.
- As a student you can get every facility within the campus itself, the classrooms are very spacious, the whole campus is very beautifully structured in the lap of mountains and you can get alot of opportunities to be a successful person.
Dislikes
- I disliked the transportation facility because most of the time what happens is the changing in the bus route again and again and sometimes students who paid does not even get the seat in the bus, the faculties who doesn’t even pay the don’t let sit
- If you have not paid the fees because of any circumstances they won’t let you sit in the exams, and if your attendance is low you are detained
- Last but not least, the burden on the nursing students, they won’t get much holidays as other students and they don’t get much time for themselves as they are mostly stressed about the pressure the college gives them
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is developed by the higher authorities and i would say, i liked all the activities that are need to be done throughout the course and throughout the semester are so helpful in developing the strength and skills of the students. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it prepares you for the real world challenges and it brings about a positive change in the students, they can achieve a great knowledge with that also they will be skillful. Moreover, if I've to say something about the improvement then i would say that the teachers needs not to teach fastly as there may be students who are slow learners but I don't like the way teachers teach here and the exams need not to be held in the festive season
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are available in either government or private hospitals. It really helps students in learning the abilities and skills. Till now the internship has been done in : 1) Paras Hospital, Panchkula 2) Dr. YS Parmar Medical Hospital 3) ESI, Parwanoo
Placement Experience
No doubt the nursing students will 100% get the placements in the worlds best hospitals like: Max Hospital, Alchemist, Paras Hospital and many more. After the completion of 4 yrs bsc nursing, the students are eligible for getting the placements. Till now 98% students have got the placements... some has gone abroad. Also I will take the placements given by my college in the near future
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying fees semester wise. The fees for per semester is 60,000 and for a year it is 1,20,000 and the admission fees is might be 20,000. Moreover there is a scholarship as well for the students, loan facility is also there. In addition, there is a fee concession for the students who has single parent. Also there is no increasing in the academic fees. One has to pay for uniform fee and if you want to avail transport and want to take hostel then you have to pay for that too.
Campus Life
Various events are being held in each and every month and the festivals are also celebrated here with joy. The library has plenty of books of various subjects, journals, reserches and soft reading books are also there. Sports weeks is also celebrated in the campus and there is a student portal also, named chalkpad
Admission
The admission process in my college is so easy like you just have to fill the application form and pay the admission fees and then you'll get the seat. I chose Chitkara University because I've heard alot about this college as it helps in exploring the potential of the students and the various events that held here are so interesting. Also the various certain clubs are there for the students like: toast masters, happiness clus, writers club and so on. This University is better than the other colleges because it really helped me in exploring my potential
Faculty
There are maximum 50 faculty in nursing department and no doubt the faculties are so supportive in each and everything, they will help you to face and fight with your fears. Each student will get there mentors who helps them alot. But some faculties are so rude they will target you and will blackmail you to call and complain about you to your parents. 2 sessional tests and final exams are conducted in each semester which are quite easy for the students, most of the students gets passed but some gets failed because of their lack of English knowledge. At last I think the curriculum is quite difficult with lack of time
