What Students Say

Likes

College surroundings and its environment
Teaching methods of the faculty - using projectors to explain .
Campus amenities are best. Computer labs are useful to practice

Dislikes

Placement companies are good but would be better if good companies are brought- as i saw few companies are fraud companies
Canteen food is bad sometimes- not hygiene
No internships are provided - would be better if atleast they tried

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed course Computer science and Engineering. i love software development i inspired from my seniors who worked in software companies Ciricullum prepares us for real world applications by providing courses and gaining valuable certifications from coursera. improvement should be in providing access of websites in some best websites , where we can get certifications other than coursera.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience

from 4-2 semester students become eligible for placements Musigma, Talentserve, TCS, coforge etc... few good and few startups visited. i got placed in 2 companies Highest - 9 LPA software developer average - 5 LPA Software trainee this year less percentage of students got placed- example out of 100 students only 5 are placed . After degree i am trying offcampus drives to get good packages

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise- 3,00,000 Tution fees, registration fees, lab fees and all other compulsary charges during the course completion all are included in the overall yearly fee structure o that is 3 lakhs yearly .

Campus Life

Pramana, Freshers party, dhol- e- jashn etc... many events are conducted according to festivals Library is best where there are lot of books anyone can read anytime anywhere All provisions are good Sports are best , conducts both indoor and outdoor sports competitions too like badminton , carroms, cricket etc.. Clubs are also conducted based on students intrests like art and craft, blood donating camps etc,...

Admission

I choose this college as i already saw seniors who got placed in good companies and the college syllabus and attention to detail for students is taken perfectly for their career growth. As it is A++ credited and Deemed university , and its college dignity, hygiene, faculty and premises i decided to join this college. i didn't get any rejections from other colleges. Admission process is simple they just conduct one exam GAT - Gitam admission test and based on marks . if scored good marks they provide some discount on the fees based on our marks. Cut off depends on the specific year. Jee main, TS, AP EAMCET exams are accepted here. EAMCET exams are mostly prefered by students.

Faculty

Faculty to Student relationship is good, they speak friendly manner and explain everything anytime whenever we get doubts they are always available to clarify them. Names of faculties i liked : Yogi reddy sir, vara prasad sir they are good and they teach java and Software Testing courses there is no one whom i didn't like. Exams number depends on semester- subjects starts from 1 and end upto 8. few semesters have few subjects only like upto 4

Good college for getting a degree

Likes

Things I liked is our is around 40+ years old so the academic structure is well established but old fashioned
As it is Bachelor of engineering our college degree is good for higher studies like masters
Faculty are some what better compared to other colleges

Dislikes

No proper scope of physical education and sports
Attendance is considered very strictly and
Facilities in campus like proper sports equipment is not available for all games

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem to 8th sem campus placement gonna takes place there are many MNCs and startups visited for hiring like accenture etc and has highest package around 20 lakhs and avg package around 5lahks placement percentage is very good we can also do masters after degree

Life of an graduating person

Likes

Teaching was very good as compared to other colleges and faculty members have 8+ years and upto 20+years teaching experience and totally digital teaching method through smart board with PDFs and PPT's and the infrastructure was very good.
College is totally 7 blocks with a spacious ground and greenery around the college sand there is also campus hostel and bus facility available and learning facilities also very good with well furnished labs .
The curriculum is also better for professional and personal development and the placements services are very supportive for career advancement

Dislikes

The things I disliked are the timings of gates closing in morning session and there is no chance of going outside in the lunch hour .
Sometimes faculty doesn't explain some topics they will skip the topics to sit simply in the classroom with teaching
The security guards are very strict and they directly take id cards of students if they misbehave anything .

Placement Experience:

3-2 semester students will become eligible for campus placements and the companies visited are tech Mahindra, cognizant ,cap gemini, zentek, tcs, etc some of the top most companies also visited our college for placements and so many students have been placed in the companies with a good package there is almost 78% of students are getting placements in this college

NIAT - where learning and growing is fun

Likes

The teaching style and focus on practicals
More emphasis is given on coding and attending hackathons
Mentors and their constant support In building projects

Dislikes

The strict rules and pressure is real and can be frustrating sometimes
The infrastructure can be a bit better, like the building and space for games
There's very less extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

My college experience inOUCE

Likes

One thing I like about this college is how the environment, good weather as there are many trees and garden to seat and have some fun.
The next I like about the college is about our faculty and the infrastructure.there are amazing teacher to explain the some of the toughest subjects ,lab are too good .
If some like to prepare for some other examinations like gate, civils .we have lot of free time to prepare for all other exams

Dislikes

Even though we have a good ground, there are many people in the ground who would distrub u ,these people come here for jogging and playing different sports and but they are not from our college
Wifi is not good the signal strength in our college is not good and we don't get good internet even from the mobile networks too.this is more irritating many times.
As it is open campus many vehicles would be passing and many unknown people would there around.we just have only one technical synopsis,as many private colleges have more than one fest.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good, many of my friends have placed but I haven't placed yet and I am searching for the job ,and I have been applying for the placements and I have been for interview in some of them and not selected for the job.

Reality of deccan college of engineering and technology

Likes

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

Likes

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

I chose this course because of my interest in computers and mainly AI, so I chose this course. The faculty-student ratio is better but it can be improved. The qualification of the faculty here is PhD forest of the faculty and B.com for some assistant professors
