Course Curriculum Overview

3

Faculty plays a major role. The way they teach, and explain inclines you towards their subject. I liked marketing because I had an interest in that subject from the beginning. Also, I don't think any course prepares you for the real world until you step into it. The course can be improved by including practical methods like case studies, surveys, etc. Exams happen once a year, 5 to 8 subjects depending on the year, every exam for 2 hours, difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3

thankfully, my internship was good. Interned at Byju's with a stipend of 18k per month. Other companies' stipend was not this much. The roles were generally of marketing, HR, and Sales. Don't rely on college, find on your own.

Placement Experience

2

From 3rd year, students become officially eligible for placements. There were numerous companies like Byjus, Genpact and others, but as I said the placement expectations were not up to par. The highest was 300000 LPA and the lowest was 100000 LPA. After completion of the course, many went for PG instead of doing a job. I worked with several firms after completion and was also preparing for CAT.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year it was 25000. The second year it was 20000. In the third year, it was 21000. There were extra charges for dresses and blazers. There are no admission fees, nothing. After completion, you get 1000 rs. as caution money. Books and everything was your expense.

Campus Life

1

There are no annual or technical festivals in this college. No clubs, nothing except for NSS. The library facility was there but the faculty was very strict. It is still a traditional college. No sports, NO cultural, nothing.

Admission

I applied to kanoriya and Maharani College. I got admission letters from both but in the late rounds, meanwhile, I had already been admitted to my college and the fees were non-refundable, so I had no choice. There is no such admission process but still, they demand above 65% marks in 12th grade. Simply go, fill out the form, do the formalities, and you are ready to go.

Faculty

4

Class strength generally ranges from 50 to 60 students. Every faculty is well-educated and has a proper understanding of their subjects. The faculty was approachable easily and they were very friendly. Revealing the names of the faculty will not be appropriate but they all are very friendly and treat you like their own child. I did not like the helping staff there because they used to be mean to students. Also, some faculty do that favouritism thing like prioritizing their favourites. It is govt affiliated college, so yearly exams happen, once every year. Exam levels are moderate. Generally, even if you cover half of the syllabus you get passing marks but if you don't want to study that much also, then even god can do nothing. Also, the exam center is different than college.

Night Life

1

The locality around the college is quite good. Birla temple and parks like Central Park, and Nehru Park were the best hangout places to explore. No hostel facilities. There is a canteen which is ok not that good. no gum, no nightlife, nothing.

Placement Experience:

From the start of the second last semester of the university you are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Khatabook, JK group of companies, reliance, visits the university for placements and make a generous amount of offers to the students. The highest package in BBA was given last year to a student was 14.5 lakhs/PA and the average package lies between 5.5-6 lakhs/PA . 100% of the students who sit in the placement gets placed by the university. Mostly students don't get placed when they like to pursue higher studies after graduation. After graduation I would also like to start preparing for my MBA.

Remarks:

Overall the college is good. One may find the fee structure a bit high as compared to other colleges in jodhpur for the same course but the faculty is brilliant and I personally prefer semester system as it keeps me involved in my studies throughout the year, and internal exams supports on this process and allows shift burden of the syllabus on last exam moments.

Remarks:

The SPU College is situated in the Falna town of Pali District. The college offers a variety of courses out of which all are good. The college is government owned, thus it is quite affordable. Placement of the college is not that good, the buildings are good but infrastructure is just like other colleges.

Remarks:

Regardless of the techniques used for teaching soft skills to students, one thing is clear increased global competition and the changing nature of most of the jobs have made soft skills more than simply a nice to have. These skills are a must have. It was a good place to learn as there was a lot of emphasis on studies and discipline which was a bit of different than the regular college life.
