A true review of KMCT Dental College by a student studying over there currently

I chose this course because BDS is a promising course. There are 3 internal exams. First internal exam is conducted after first 2-3months and after next 2 or 3 months second internals and before 1month of university exams there will be last internal exam. Exam difficulty is university level so these exams do help a student to prepare for university.

After 4.5years of completing the course we have to do a one year internship in the hospital with a monthly stipend of 7000rs. There is a con that they dont pay every month to interns, instead pay a month's amount after 3-4months and do not pay the rest amount.

There are many workshops, annual day, arts day, college day, quiz, etc conducted almost every month. Library is one of the significant feature of the college, they have every sort of books and atmosphere of the library is so calm and serene. There are smartclass in classes and teaching faculty use mikes so that lectures are audible to everyone in the class. There are many clubs such as innovation clubs, sports club, library club, etc.

There are 3 people in a single large room with attached bathroom. Itz very clean and hygienic. 2 Lifts are provided. Food menu is great, they provide veg and non veg food, icecream, fruits etc. Rooms are really spacious that can accommodate 5 people easily but they have provided 3 people per room so itz a good thing

I chose this college because it is accredited with A+ by NAAC. They have reasonable cut off marks. And also one of the best in north side of kerala. I didn't get any rejection frm any other college, this college was my first option because my cousin had studied from here and said it was a good one

There are enough faculties for each department. They have provided a mentor mentee system where a faculty member and a responsible senior student is alloted to each student so that needs and complaints of each student can be fulfilled Some of the best faculty members are Mr. Siddhuraj, Dr. Manjula, Dr. Anzeena, Dr. Ganesh Kumar, Dr. Neethi R Krishnan, Mrs. Seema, Dr. Usha Balan, Dr. Reshmi, Dr. Mayeesh and Dr. Akhila. These all teach and help students very well. They are very interactive and help student in every way possible There are total 3 internal exams conducted.. first 2 internals and last one model exam. Questions are of university level hardness and prepare us for university exams. For first internal more than 50 students fail and for other two only 20 fail out of 100. If a student works hard and studies, he/she can easily pass each exam. Course curriculum is moderately relevant but we wish if KUHS could do some loose checking too.

Yes there were a lost of group discussions and written test conducted every now and then which helped us to study even more. Frequent vivas and seminars were conducted for each and every student which enabled good learning.

There are many cafeterias around it. And open gym and indoor sports complex too. Butterfly garden is also there were students can sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. Hostel timings are before 8pm we have to report back to hostel and if going to library this time is extended till 9pm Around the campus it is really safe as there are security guard and cctv surveillance in and around the whole campus so it is pretty safe
