Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am interested in business thus decided to choose BBA. The curriculum prepares me pretty much good for the applications or further academic pursuits. There are no practicals or any experience based teaching. I wish that to be improved. Teachers should try various methods or ideas to teach. Exams does not comes frequently. It is difficult to study because there are no study leaves between the subjects for semester exams. The university doesn't provide any study leaves.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is 25000. The second year i had to only pay 21000. I am a hosteler and my fees is 8400. I entered for management category and the fee is 25000 yearly. For merit category the fee is same. For SC, ST there is reduction yet i don't know the correct details. They had reserved seats. There is only scholarship for students who applied in the merit category.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is okay. Focusing on social aspect, the company and people are ????????????. Great place for socialising. There are many clubs and cells in the college. Even though some are very active some are not. Mostly the ones active are very much great. The infrastructure is very poor. There are no rooms for anything. The college does not even have their own sports ground. Even though the surroundings are green and beautiful, the college does not have many facilities. Sports is not prioritized much in the college. Programs are held every month but some basic programs such as onam and christmas is neglected due to religious matters.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are great and can be rated a five star. Every kind of facility is provided in the room except air conditioning. The quality of the meal and menu is great. If you are a vegetarian, then you cannot live here. The menu has different types of food everyday and also does include fish, chicken and beef. The registration process was also easy and affordable.

Admission

I chose this college because i wanted to study away from home and stay at a hostel. Comparing to other colleges i feel other colleges would have provided more opportunities on many things. The admission process was quite simple and didnt take much time or effort. There was no entrance exam for entry and no preferred exams. The overall admission experience was great.

Faculty

4

The number of faculty members to the students is very low. The faculty to students relationship is good. They are approachable also. My first class teacher was nice. She was good with teaching as well as everything else. Most of the facilities are good and best except the computer science department. They are mostly strict and puts pressure on students. There are mainly the six semester exams as well as two internals in every semester. Only a very few numbers of students fail. The course curriculum is good too.

Interview Experience

5

There was only a interview with the vice principal.btgere was no test or group discussions for admission. The interview included questions like, why i was interested in the course i was taking, how i got to know about the college, personal details etc. I had to come only twice for admission. It was easy and fast. I had already prepared for all of these rounds. I had taken with me all papers when i went there for first time.

Night Life

1

The college does not allow to hangout in nights. Even the hostelers are not permitted to hangout in the campus. There are to enter the hostel by 5. Students are to go back home as soon as classes are over or unless they have to stay back. Many late night programs are not encouraged due to this. There is only one late night program yet till they try to end it before 10pm. There a gym but no good or necessary equipments or sports equipments. Cafeteria is not good either. Hangout places are good. There is a outfoor stage. Even though it is small, it is a famous hangout place. The locality is safe to roam around at night.

Placement Experience:

Since I'm in the 1st semester, i really don't have a great idea about the placements but as far as I know Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university has their dedicated training, placement and corporate relations center. The highest package was 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package might be 4 LPA. Nike, mastek are the few companies who came to recruit After completing my degree, i might go for a job and then complete my PG.

Course Curriculum Overview:

soem subjects i feel very unnecessary are IKS and SANSKIRT..even so collectively speaking nobody understands the reason why they are being asked to learn iks(Indian knowledge system).and for sanskirt we could argue its a language and learning it would be some consideration a skillset but even though if that is the case we mustn't force somebody to learn it.it should be a choice

The eligibility semester may vary, but generally , students in their 5th or 6th semester are considered for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, flipkart,HDFC, and others visit the campus to recruit eligible students. the highest salary package offered to a student ffrom KMM Institute of Technology and Science was 7 lakh per annum. the average salary package for students was 5 lakh per annum. The percentage of students getting placement is above 50%. After my degree, I want to go higher studies (MBA) at KMM COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE ,THRIKKAKARA.
