Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course that i have chose is not due to any influence from this college. The college doesnt fully help in getting ready for todays world. Improvements that can be suggested are using powerpoint presentations for theory classes rather than lectures. Encouraging students for presentations and increase their confidence. Exams that are conducted are mostly of easy to average levels and teachera are supportive in that matter. Total of 6 main exams (external) and 6 (internal) with exams confucted fromt he aide of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for the course is 25000, there are various other fees like examination fees that vary year to year. The fees for bsc Cs is approximately near 45000 and varies for other courses. The hostel fees is 8400 per month.

Campus Life

2

The library has informative books and does provide us access to them which we can also borrow for 14 days . Technological provisions are less. Clubs and socials groups are active in college and the IEDC had been started in august 2024 (where I am the student cordinator) and working for the best development of the college. College events in 2024 (from june) was very terrible and horrible as there wasnt any that was conducted. I feel college should be an open place rather than a place of boredom. It should also focus on academics.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel is the worst after the new warden came with alot of problem causing mental stress to students. Incase of affordability they are taking 8400 per month which is way more than what expected. The meals sometimes contains worms, hair, nails and is not considered most of the times when complained. Students are not allowed to do laundry but giving the dresses in hostel laundry has made alot of clothes missing, caused heavy damages and stinks leaving no other way rather than washing ourselves wven though its prohibited. There are only fans and the fans get damaged often taking 2-4 weeks to repair wven after daily reminders to the warden

Admission

The issue was that I was the first child and did not have any idea regarding colleges. So this was the first and only college i applied and didnt know much about the process of applications. I was admitted into this college for merit but there was no benifits for entering in merit. I got into the college just by giving marksheet and documents so dont know any other process

Faculty

3

The faculties (mostly teachers) are very friendly and supportive. Some of them includes Ramsy miss(my first year class teacher ) she was very supportive and still is. Gopika miss( my current class teacher) who is also very supportive and takes class very good. Sajitha miss( my third semester maths teacher( had one of the best teaching techniques). The other teachers i have mostly felt use most boring way of teaching not using any presentations and uses full on full lecture methods which i feel is not auitable for this era. The higher authorities claims to be supportive but isnt actually doing so. And the hostel warden is of a complete mess and a backbiting person. There are a total of 6 main exams that is the semester examinations conducted by calicut university and others conducted by college. University exams are good but doesnt provide any leave in between of exams causing heavy stress. Over all examinations are fine. An sometimes there is sudden postponding of exams causing a bit of difficulties.

Night Life

1

There is no late night activities or night life in our college. As a hostel student we are not even allowed to go out by ourselves and is sent with a nanny( who is not fit health wise) with us even to the near by shops. There opened a new cafeteria which will probably be the only place that we can go freely in the campus. Campus timings are from 9:00am-3:30pm. We are not trusted to go out and is kept in a suffocated way even if permission is taken from parents and even if parents request to the college faculties

Placement Experience:

Since I'm in the 1st semester, i really don't have a great idea about the placements but as far as I know Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university has their dedicated training, placement and corporate relations center. The highest package was 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package might be 4 LPA. Nike, mastek are the few companies who came to recruit After completing my degree, i might go for a job and then complete my PG.

Course Curriculum Overview:

soem subjects i feel very unnecessary are IKS and SANSKIRT..even so collectively speaking nobody understands the reason why they are being asked to learn iks(Indian knowledge system).and for sanskirt we could argue its a language and learning it would be some consideration a skillset but even though if that is the case we mustn't force somebody to learn it.it should be a choice

The eligibility semester may vary, but generally , students in their 5th or 6th semester are considered for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, flipkart,HDFC, and others visit the campus to recruit eligible students. the highest salary package offered to a student ffrom KMM Institute of Technology and Science was 7 lakh per annum. the average salary package for students was 5 lakh per annum. The percentage of students getting placement is above 50%. After my degree, I want to go higher studies (MBA) at KMM COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE ,THRIKKAKARA.
