What Students Say

Likes

The faculty facilities are good and the students
The labs are good and well cleaned and maintained
The atmosphere of the college is good more trees are there

Dislikes

There is a temple inside the campus that makes more restrictions to the campus
Don't allow non veg is is tough for a non vegetarian hostelers
Less events and less extra curriculum activities comparing to other amrita institutions

Course Curriculum Overview

The inclusion of industry-relevant topics, case studies, and practical projects strongly influenced my decision to choose this course. The course offers a well-structured combination of foundational concepts and advanced topics.

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 99400 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship is starts from the last semester. The internship has stipend we get money when we are working many companies are offering interships. They will give us a project oru oru we should submit a project in last term of our intership

Placement Experience

Amrita is providing placement drive to every last year students and many of them got placed. There are many companies like Deloitte, amazon , google,hp, microsoft, dell, adobe, etc ..many of the students get placed with good salary package

Fees and Financial Aid

The year- wise fees I paid is 99400 each sem has 49700. And paid 3000 has caution fee. The admission application fee was 500. Comparing to other colleges in kerala amrita has lowest fees structure in my cource. And Amrita provide scholarships for students who scored high in higher secondary

Campus Life

There are only few annual events each department has each events. Our vmc department has most events and we are connected to the artistic minds. The spots are very week in the college littrely no spots are there in college

Admission

There are only few colleages providing b.des in kerala. In that amrita is top institutions and beta ranking college. The main reason to join this college is next to my house. I also applied other colleges in kerala and got admission in one college but i rejecte it. The admission process was easy it is an interview process show your works and answer There questions

Faculty

The facultys are good and always available. The faculty are also approachable. There are many faculty in oru vmc department dinesh sir ,vinod lakshman, vinod nk, etc and other language teachers. There will be a mid term exam in every sem and a sem exam and other assignment and works etc..

Night Life

Night life in college is week after college we should leave no staying and there is no gym in our campus it is in amrita hospital campus it is around 5 km away. Amrita only provide hostel for girls no boy in our campus. But the students in the pg and out side hostels are good experience the kochi

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.
