An overview about D.B Pampa College Parumala

BCom course is a simple bachelor's degree pass course in Finance and Taxation. It is a 3 years degree course which is affiliated by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam so the course is according to the MGU. The exam structure is a semester wise so the exam is taken every 6 months so there are 2 exams every year.

Placement opportunities of the college are very weak and the placement ratio is also very less. College placement cell doesn't show any interest in this section and it needs much and much improvement. The college will help you in improving your communication skills, provides the necessary training for the interviews.

NSS events, NCC events are organized. Many sports and games and competitions like cricket competitions, indoor game competitions in games like carom, chess, etc. Many national and international festivals and events such as Population Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Swacchata Divas etc are celebrated every year.

The fee structure of the college is very feasible and nominal in comparison to the other nearby colleges which can be afforded by anyone. This nominal fee structure helps even weaker financial background students to pursue their dreams of higher studies.

Scholarships/Freeships in the form of full fee concession, Lump Sum Grant and Stipend to the students belonging to the SC and ST categories and X'an Convert and other eligible communities. Many other scholarships like OBC Fees concession, National Loan Scholarship, Kerala State Scholarship, PH student scholarship, Merit scholarship to the children of school teachers, Fisheries scholarship, Post – Metric Scholarship, KPCR Concession, Muslim Girl Scholarship, Indira Gandhi Single Child Scholarship, etc.

Auditorium, Badminton court, Basket Ball court, Gymnasium, Outdoor Stadium, Indoor stadium, Parking facility, Central Generator system, Co-operative store, Canteen, Rainwater harvesting facility, Centralized Digital Library with inflibnet and many more facilities are available in the college which are very helpful in academics as well as in other development of the students.

For the admission in the course doesn't require any entrance test and admission will be based on the 12th marks. I filled the admission form available at the admission counter of the college and enclosed the relevant documents with the application and submitted it to the counter at the same time and that's it, I got the admission.
