Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is not created by the college but by the University. Up until now, the course focused mainly on theory only while giving less importance to coding. But I think that issue is handled very well in the new curriculum of the University. In my case I have to learn a lot of tools online by myself but I think that's natural in engineering.

Placement Experience

3

There are placements in our college. All the placements are not directly from our college. The placement officer will provide us details of walk in interviews and other details necessary to get the students maximum placement opportunities. If you have good marks there is a good chance of you getting placed. Not sure of the packages , but I think it's around 3-5 lpa. It can go upto 6 lpa i think.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 75000 per year as course fee. Caution fees is 10000 for the whole course. There is additional around 60000 for the hostel per year. Transportation will be provided and it will range from 5000 to 30000 respective to your distance from college.

Campus Life

4

The college is inside the ahalia campus, so there are a lot of events in a year. The arts fest will be conducted every year without fail with musical nights as a sure event. And for other festivals like onam, christmas also the college will be conducting a good celebration with dance music, food etc. There are NSS and IEDC clubs ,the clubs are very active and conducts workshops and events. Every year until now sports events like cricket, soccer and chess was also conducted.

Admission

I chose my college because mainly because I don't have to stay in a hostel and I could stay in my house. Another reason was that I couldn't get into CSE stream with my entrance exam marks into any of the good government colleges around my area. I firstly chose management seat, but after the result was published I was provided a merit seat as I had enough marks for a private college.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is around 1/20 which is nice. The exams can be easily passed if you study. But if most of the students, you bunk classes and don't pay attention, there is a chance of failing depending on the skills and abilities of the student. I like two of my faculties in particular as they have in depth knowledge in the field and they explain concepts very nicely.

Night Life

4

There are no gyms in my knowledge, there are a lot of cafeteria and restaurants in the campus, and each with different styles or vibes. So a lot to try there. The lake house and sculpture park is also inside the campus and are good place to check out in the free time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
