Likes
- The extracurricular activities are very good and for that a good emphasis is given within the campus with regular events and workshops, with a good and beautiful infrastructure and really good environment, 93th most beautiful campus in our country.
- Placements are fine, whereby most placement will be for sales and marketing executive, providing a offer ranging 3 lakh to 9 lakh yearly.
- The faculty really consist a good and massive experience within the whole school of management, which really helps you a lot in building your own understanding.
Dislikes
- Extremely strict rules and regulations , making it look like a boarding school where there are restrictions, you cannot move out the campus before 12pm after once getting into the college,
- The availability of good quality food for your meals is somewhat very disappointing, although service like canteen and cafeteria are there but still the quality is still poor.
- The inflated prices of the food and bakery items are mind blowing where you'll see the extra hike in the prices of everything.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was almost theoretical with few practical subjects and numerical based accounting subject, the syllabus consists of 5 units each , where by you'll be covering 2 subjects in your mind term examination and all 5 in end term. However the curriculum isn't that much good and updated, like the BOS is of 2019 which is outdated as of now, but still that is taught everyday, the concept of making students industry ready is still missing. The area of improvement is making curriculum more relevant as per industrial requirements so that students can be secure more placements. There are almost 4-6 lectures everyday , whereby you'll attend these 55 min lecture everytime .
Internships Opportunities
College offered the internship from the company like Times of India group, chandigarh, V-mart Haldwani, Delhi, etc , But however for the majority they have to find the internship in their own, Project like financial analysis, taxation, quality assurance were been made.
Placement Experience
The placements are fine, whereby you'll be attending placements in order to get a offer letter, whereby most of the placements will be of sales and marketing executive field, no matter what your specialisation is, you'll be noticing single or none profile opening for finance, very few for human resources and bunches of offers for sale and marketing. The company like coding ninja, cars24, TCS , Field Assist, learning routes, launched global, cmr greens, WNS, Jaro education, etc came up this year. The highest package was made for 8.5 lakhs by jaro education, and average package of 3-4 lpa was given. The sum of 45 students out of 130 in our batch were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship consists of 25% himalyan region students, then others like daughter child , army background family etc, that was around 80000 yearly, and my fees of last year was 89000 after getting scholarship, as there tution fee, library fee, insurance fee , transport fee, and evrything sumed up for around 90 thousand, and you also get 10% discount if you pay your college fees yearly and 5% half yearly.
Campus Life
The annual fest i.e, Grafest usually organised by the month of June, followed by school of management's own fest and school of computing and technologies own fest within campus. There are regular events for cricket, vollyball, football, basketball within campus of bhimtal and Haldwani. There are a group of clubs like eco club, fino polis club etc , However students can be the part of NCC and NSS which also provide regular events. The president and members of board for theses clubs are the students only.
Admission
I applied for the graphic Era hill University Dehradun, which is one of the branch of our university but however the placement and curriculum was almost same that's why I choose the campus which is close and next to me. As of regections, I did not get rejection due to limited application for colleges. The admission is quite easy where you need to submit the documents like marksheet, medical certificate, transfer and migration certificate, and a sum of fee to get your confirmation on admission. There is 1500 registration fee to get your seats confirmed for the selected course. Well there is no specific criteria for cut-off.
Faculty
The faculty really have a good amount of experience that not only limited to classes and your respective courses but also helpful as your carrier consultant outside the classroom, the facilities are mentors too for the students, and there would be exams of 4-6 subject every semester with mid term examination and end term examination where a 50 marks mid term consists 25 marks in your marksheet and 100 marks end term examination contributing to 50 marks in semester marksheet, and rest 25from mid term+ 50 from end term examination+ 25 from sessional that are alloted by subject teachers, where there would be 5 units always for each subject with your curriculum where 2 units are covered in mid term examination and 5 in the end term, the level difficulty is very mild , the course of BBA almost consist of the theoretical subjects with outdated curriculum that hadn't updated since 2019 , and the exam of graphic Era hill University Bhimtal, Dehradun, Haldwani are exactly same, occurs at the same time and date in all three campus, but still there were almost 40 students in our batch that were failed to clear exam, and for this back examination you'll need 1500 for every back examination.
Night Life
The beautiful surroundings of the campus is the secret for taking admission over there , the campus of bhimtal is enriched with the enormous amount of beauty . The facilities of gym, cafeteria, library are provided by college itself within the campus, there's not much around the campus for night life, but absolutely amazing experience at day time. The campus is surrounded by saatal lake, bhimtal lake , where by small lakes with enriched beauty are waiting for you to explore.
