Remarks
St.Thomas College Pala is one of the most reputed institution in the district. The college has a glorious history of 70 years. It has contributed a lot for the country. The passed out students are making the college proud by their excellent performance in various fields.
Course Curriculum Overview
The university is following the semester system. I have personally found the system student friendly. Semester exams are conducted after each semester. Choice based credit semester system(CBCSS) is followed.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunites are good. Various institutions are coming for the campus recruitments which we can attend when we are in the final year. Our commerce department is offering us a marketing and sales skill development programme where we literally do sales and fair stipend is given to us.
College Events
The college has its students union selected by conducting an election. So the union inauguration is the first major event. The students union then conduct arts day and college day. The state festival onam is celebrated. Another major event is the college foundation day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I am studying in a government aided course. The fee structure is feasible and affordable. The students are offered additional e-grants and scholarships based on their merits and income and other reservations
Fees and Financial Aid
We are offered a number of scholarships of the government. The college helps us to apply for various scholarships. For those economically backward meritorious students who haven't received any govt scholarships the college is giving them a grant.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities of the college are really good. The college always tops the university arts and sports fests. The lab facilities of the college are great. The college has a big ground for cricket and football. Separate basket ball, volleyball and tennis courts and an international quality swimming pool.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are really friendly. The have always stood as helping brothers. The alumni network of the college is very active and they meet up regularly. They are happy to contribute to the betterment of the college and are ready to sponsor the initiatives of the present students
Admission
MG CAP(Centralised Allotment Process) When the admission procedure began I registered in the Mahatma Gandhi CAP, where I have given all the necessary details and the marks on the basis of which they have given me an index mark and based on this index mark allotments were made and admitted.
Faculty
The faculties of the college are very supportive. Especially talking of my departments' faculties, they all are so dedicated and hardworking. They are always there to help us to reach our goals not only academic but also various non-curricular activities.
