Aberystwyth University offers admissions for fall and winter semester. Applicants aiming for undergraduate must apply by early september, Mid-january or last week of June. 95% of the research done during the graduate study is recognised as an international standard. Applications are submitted through:

  • Clearing- For students who didn't make it to the list of their choice can re-evaluate and choose a different course through clearing by 15th August.
  • UCAS – This application method can be availed by UK, EU and International students by July/August.
  • Direct Application- EU and International students who have not registered through UCAS can apply through this method.

Pre-application Requirements for International Students

Here is what one needs to follow to pave way for hassle free steps ahead – 

  • Students should login on the official Aberystwyth University website to read about courses and their requirements to choose the one which appeals to them the most.
  • Then they should check the 'country wise' criteria for their respective country.
  • Any of the English Language Tests mentioned in tables given above should be qualified.
  • The university has a tuition fee page which can be consulted to manage budget in the right manner. Meritorious students can avail scholarships as well.
  • Visa applications must be made at the earliest.
  • Apply through the UCAS method before 30th June or apply directly by consulting with the admission team or education advisors in one's home country by using the following documents/statements-

Visa Acquisition Procedure for International Students

Students who come from outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland will need a study type visa before they can enrol and study on a course at Aberystwyth University.

There are two types of study visas that will allow you to study at Aberystwyth University:- Tier 4 (General) visa or Short-term Study visa.

The steps listed below shall guide students on the type of visa to be applied for and the method of application:-

  • Students who are from countries outside the European Economic Area need to apply for the Tier-4 PBS Immigration visa.
  • Whereas those planning to study for a short period may apply for 'short term student visa'.
  • Students who are planning to study technological programmes must get their ATAS certificate cleared.
  • Students should first compile the documents required. After compilation, students should fill the tier-4 form according to the tutorial available on the website under Visa and Immigration section.
  • Students should pay the Health Surcharge and Tier-4 Visa application fee, which is £300 and £348 respectively.
  • After the interview has been cleared students can study at Aberystwyth University.
