London Metropolitan University fees for Indian students cover separate postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) routes. PG tuition in pound sterling (GBP) is £20,000 to £20,500 (Indian rupee (INR) 26.10 to 26.75 Lakhs) annually. UG tuition is £19,500 (INR 25.45 Lakhs) annually. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) costs £20,000 (INR 26.10 Lakhs) for one year.

London Met teaches across Holloway, Aldgate, and Shoreditch, so housing choice depends on your teaching location. University-arranged housing is the first option when offered, but London Met publishes no single residence range for all campuses. The UK government maintenance benchmark is £1,529 per month (INR 2.00 Lakhs), or INR 23.95 Lakhs for 12 months.

For the MBA, a full first-year budget is about INR 46.82 to 58.79 Lakhs before scholarships. After the £5,000 award and 5% early-payment discount, the midpoint is INR 44.97 Lakhs. The exchange rate used is £1 = INR 130.51, using the 26 August 2026 live rate.

January 2027 Intake: The practical next route

Intake: September 2026 is closed for applicants outside the United Kingdom. January 2027 is practical for most PG courses, while UG January starts remain course-specific. September 2027 follows it. London Met’s international deadlines page records the applicable visa timeline.

Fee update: The 2026/27 fee year applies. PG tuition is £20,000 to £20,500 (INR 26.10 to 26.75 Lakhs). UG tuition is £19,500 (INR 25.45 Lakhs). The next fee year is not published.

When to pay: The minimum Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) deposit is £4,000 (INR 5.22 Lakhs). London Met may request up to 50% of yearly tuition at enrolment. The exact January 2027 deadline is target-intake deadline pending.

Scholarships: The South Asia Bright Future Scholarship offers £5,000 (INR 6.53 Lakhs) to eligible Indian students. The 4 August 2026 September deadline has closed, while the January 2027 deposit deadline is target-intake deadline pending.

Read the London Met admissions guide for the January 2027 application route and document sequence.

London Metropolitan University Tuition Fees by Programme

London Met’s 2026/27 course mix is unusually flat: most named PG routes cost £20,000 (INR 26.10 Lakhs) annually.

London Metropolitan University Postgraduate Fees: January 2027

Ten PG routes cost £20,000 (INR 26.10 Lakhs) or £20,500 (INR 26.75 Lakhs) annually. The Master of Arts (MA) route in Global Human Resource Management is the higher-priced exception.

The Master of Science (MSc) routes include Data Analytics, Public Health, Food Science, and International Accounting and Finance.

Tuition is charged annually for these full-time programmes. The indicative full-course figure multiplies the current annual fee by the published duration.

At unchanged current rates, indicative tuition is a comparison, not a future-fee forecast.

  • The MBA and MSc Data Analytics both use a one-year, 180-credit structure.
  • Data Analytics covers data mining, visualisation, warehousing, and statistical modelling.
  • International Accounting and Finance uses London Met’s Bloomberg facilities and finance software.
  • The Global Human Resource Management fee is £500 (INR 65,255) above the common PG rate.

Note: A one-year PG fee is tuition-only. It excludes living costs, the £4,000 deposit timing (INR 5.22 Lakhs), visa charges, and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS).

London Metropolitan University Undergraduate Fees: September 2027

Five UG routes use the £19,500 (INR 25.45 Lakhs) annual fee band. January 2027 availability must be checked course by course.

London Metropolitan University Fee Trend by Year

London Met lists £19,500 (INR 25.45 Lakhs) for 2026/27 UG tuition. Its accessible fee archive has no second UG year.

Use the latest published fee year for January 2027 courses until the next official year is released. Then rerun the full first-year budget before September 2027.

Key Insight: January 2027 applicants can use the 2026/27 UG rate of £19,500 (INR 25.45 Lakhs) where January entry exists. September 2027 needs a fresh fee check when London Met publishes its next rate.

Cost of Living in London for Indian Students

London’s official maintenance benchmark is £1,529 per month (INR 2.00 Lakhs), or INR 23.95 Lakhs for 12 months.

This is visa evidence, not a rent quote. The Student visa money requirement combines living costs into one London figure.

Private Housing Near London for Indian Students

No official London Met room range is available across Holloway, Aldgate, and Shoreditch. Treat any private quote as a separate rent, deposit, bills, lease, and commute decision.

  • Holloway is the main academic location for business, law, computing, social sciences, and human sciences.
  • Aldgate and Shoreditch serve more specialist creative, architecture, fashion, and textile teaching.
  • London Met’s campuses are academic locations, not a guaranteed on-campus residence allocation.
  • The official £1,529 (INR 2.00 Lakhs) monthly figure does not separate rent from food, bills, and transport.

Note: The INR 23.95 Lakhs annual benchmark covers 12 months. It is not proof that a private lease, deposit, or utility bill fits that amount.

Keep 12 months of living funds separate from the £4,000 deposit (INR 5.22 Lakhs) before requesting the January 2027 CAS.

Currency Tip: For January 2027, use London Met’s online route or a forex card. This applies to the £4,000 deposit (INR 5.22 Lakhs). A 2% saving is about INR 10,441; reassess before September 2027.

Total Cost of Studying at London Metropolitan University

The MBA first-year budget is INR 46.82 to 58.79 Lakhs, depending on nine, twelve, or fifteen months of living costs.

The table uses tuition due in the first year and the London maintenance benchmark. It includes immigration charges payable for a typical one-year postgraduate visa period.

Scope: tuition, living, a £558 Student visa fee (INR 72,825), and a two-year IHS budget of £1,552 (INR 2.03 Lakhs). The one-year IHS comparison is £776 (INR 1.01 Lakhs).

Source: London Metropolitan University fee pages, UK Visas and Immigration, and GOV.UK healthcare surcharge guidance.

  • The £4,000 deposit (INR 5.22 Lakhs) reduces tuition and is not an extra fee.
  • The table shows a true first-year budget, not full-programme tuition plus living.
  • The IHS is shown on a one-year basis for comparison, but the visa application charges the full liability upfront.
  • Airfare, private housing deposits, tuberculosis testing, personal insurance, and course materials remain excluded.

For the one-year MBA, tuition plus 12-month living is INR 50.05 Lakhs, or INR 0.50 Crore, before immigration charges. A loan of INR 52.80 Lakhs carries an EMI of about INR 69,000 monthly at 10.5% for 10 years.

Key Insight: The £5,000 award plus 5% early-payment discount can save INR 7.83 Lakhs on a £20,000 PG fee. Confirm both reductions before the next instalment.

London Metropolitan University Scholarships for Indian Students

London Met’s largest published reduction is £5,000 (INR 6.53 Lakhs) through the South Asia Bright Future Scholarship.

Tip for Indian Students: Preserve the £5,000 South Asia award (INR 6.53 Lakhs) for January 2027. Its deposit deadline is pending, so do not assume the 4 August 2026 September date carries forward.

Review the London Met university profile for the course and funding context before accepting an offer.

London Metropolitan University Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

London Met has a standard minimum deposit of £4,000 (INR 5.22 Lakhs). An offer can request 50% of first-year tuition.

The deposit counts towards tuition and starts the CAS process after an unconditional offer. London Met does not state one universal refund rule in its payment guidance.

Methods of Payment

  • Bank transfer: use the bank details in the deposit request and allow three to five banking days.
  • London Met online payments system: use the university’s own route shown in the payment instructions.
  • Forex card: a potential 2% saving is about INR 10,441 on £4,000 (INR 5.22 Lakhs), subject to the provider rate.
  • Education-loan disbursement: request the deposit tranche early and keep the lender receipt.

Steps to Pay the Tuition Fee for International Students

  1. Accept the unconditional offer.
  2. Pay the requested deposit after London Met asks for it.
  3. Complete the CAS request with financial and compliance documents.
  4. Pay up to 50% of yearly tuition by the enrolment deadline.
  5. Pay the remaining 50% three months after the course start date.
  6. Keep every receipt for the Student visa file and loan record.

For January 2027, the £4,000 deposit (INR 5.22 Lakhs) starts the CAS route. The exact instalment dates will sit in the deposit request email.

Note: The last published India deposit deadline was 20 August 2026 for September 2026. January 2027 remains target-intake deadline pending, so allow three to five banking days for transfer confirmation.

Hidden Costs of Studying at London Metropolitan University

  • January 2027 has no published India deposit date, while the 20 August 2026 September deadline has passed.
  • The Student visa fee is £558 (INR 72,825) for an application made outside the United Kingdom.
  • The student IHS rate is £776 per year (INR 1.01 Lakhs), with a two-year budget of £1,552 (INR 2.03 Lakhs).
  • Bank transfer charges, card fees, and foreign exchange spreads sit outside tuition.
  • London Met identifies equipment, materials, printing, textbooks, trips, and professional body fees as possible additional costs.
  • IELTS retakes, tuberculosis testing, visa-centre travel, flights, and personal insurance need separate reserves.

Cash Needed Before Arrival

The MBA minimum before arrival is £6,110 (INR 7.97 Lakhs). It combines the £4,000 deposit (INR 5.22 Lakhs), visa fee, and two-year IHS budget.

Accommodation payment, flights, tuberculosis testing, and personal setup costs are excluded because no current official amount is stated. Add up to £10,000 (INR 13.05 Lakhs) if the offer requires 50% MBA tuition before enrolment.

Budget approximately INR 7.97 to 21.02 Lakhs for first-year hidden costs. This range excludes accommodation, airfare, course materials, and variable bank charges.

Source: GOV.UK immigration fees, healthcare surcharge guidance, and London Metropolitan University course-cost notes.

Note: The IHS is the cost families often miss. A one-year MBA can create a two-year IHS charge of £1,552 (INR 2.03 Lakhs), payable with the visa.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The largest January 2027 saving is the £5,000 award (INR 6.53 Lakhs) plus the 5% early-payment discount.

  • Keep the South Asia scholarship attached to the January 2027 offer until its target deposit deadline is issued.
  • Compare the £19,500 UG band (INR 25.45 Lakhs) with the £20,000 PG band (INR 26.10 Lakhs) before choosing a route.
  • Use university-arranged housing information first, then compare private rent, bills, deposit, lease length, and commute.
  • Degree-level Student visa holders can work up to 20 hours weekly during term-time, subject to current immigration conditions.
  • Section 80E is an Indian income-tax deduction for qualifying education-loan interest, subject to current Income Tax Department rules.
  • The Graduate Route lasts 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027. Do not budget on the older two-year period.

Tip for Indian Students: Secure both university reductions before the January 2027 instalment. On a £20,000 PG fee (INR 26.10 Lakhs), the combined reduction is INR 7.83 Lakhs.

Compare the London Met application route before committing loan funds to a course with January entry.

Is London Metropolitan University Worth the Cost for Indian Students

On the published figures, London Met is financially defensible when the INR 7.83 Lakhs reduction is secured. London housing must remain controlled.

London Met sits in the QS World University Rankings 2026 band #1001-1200. It sits in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2026 band #601-800. Management is its strongest listed subject result, at #201-300 in ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025.

The Graduate Route is 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027. A loan of INR 52.80 Lakhs implies an EMI near INR 69,000 monthly at 10.5% for 10 years.

No official median graduate salary is available for a defensible payback claim. The value verdict rests on the fee reduction, course fit, London costs, and shorter post-study work window.

Key Insight: For January 2027, the financial decision turns on INR 7.83 Lakhs of reductions. Securing both takes the MBA midpoint from INR 52.80 Lakhs to INR 44.97 Lakhs.

Review the London Met ranking guide alongside the course fee and loan calculation.

January 2027 is the realistic next intake for most PG applicants. The September 2026 India deadline passed on 20 August 2026. London Met’s 2026/27 PG tuition is INR 26.10 to 26.75 Lakhs. The MBA first-year budget is INR 46.82 to 58.79 Lakhs before reductions. The £5,000 South Asia award plus 5% early-payment discount can reduce that budget by INR 7.83 Lakhs. Keep the January 2027 target deadline pending, then rerun costs when September 2027 fees publish.

  • The best method to find accommodation in Ireland is via WhatsApp groups, facebook groups or DAFT. ie. The monthly rental is not easy to define, as it depends on the location & type of the room. If a student wants a single room in Galway, it would cost around 600-700 EUR per month.
  • If the same single room is needed in Dublin, then it might cost around 800-900 EUR per month. The sharing room cost would be less by around 100-125 EUR per month.

My reasons were to go for the cheapest options as I wanted to sponsor my education on my own. Overall was good, I learned a lot and made some awesome friends. To be honest I was an average student with not much corporate Industry experience, getting a UK visa was easier for me as it's an English-speaking country with lots of opportunities and easier to get access for friends and family. Talking about the extracurricular opportunities there are a lot of options available to go for outings and do sporting events which I really enjoy exploring.
