IILM University BCA FAQs
Ques. How is IILM’s four-year BCA Honours different from a standard three-year BCA?
Ans. Under NEP 2020, IILM University offers the BCA as a four-year Honours degree with research components, specialised electives in cloud, data, and AI, and multiple exit options. The extra year deepens technical skills and industry project exposure compared with a standard three-year BCA, making graduates more competitive for software developer and analyst roles. Multiple exit points allow students who complete Year 1 or Year 2 to leave with a Certificate or Diploma if personal circumstances change.
Ques. Which BCA track should I choose: Web Development or Computer Applications?
Ans. The Web Development track focuses on front-end and back-end frameworks like React and Node.js, suiting students who want to build websites and web applications. The Computer Applications track covers programming, databases, operating systems, and networks with electives in cloud and AI, and suits those targeting broader software or data roles. Both tracks carry the same total fee of INR 8,00,000 and the same IILM merit admission process, so the choice depends on career direction.
Ques. What is the total BCA fee and how can it be reduced?
Ans. Total tuition is INR 8,00,000 for the four-year programme, payable at INR 2,00,000 per year. The IILM Merit Scholarship can waive a substantial portion of tuition for high scorers, and an Early Bird concession rewards applicants in the first window. Education loans from partner banks are also available. Hostel is optional at INR 1,42,000 per year and is excluded from the tuition total.
Ques. What career roles can BCA Honours graduates pursue?
Ans. Graduates commonly take roles such as front-end developer, back-end developer, full-stack developer, software tester, data analyst, and IT support engineer. The four-year Honours degree and internship portfolio strengthen applications at product companies and IT service firms in the Delhi NCR region. Many students also proceed to an MCA or cloud and data certifications to advance into senior technical and architecture roles over time.
Ques. How does IILM BCA admission work for 2026?
Ans. CUET-UG 2026 registration closed in February 2026 and the exam concluded between May 11 and May 31, 2026, with results declared on June 14, 2026. IILM also admits students directly on 12th merit followed by a personal interview without a CUET-UG score. Class commencement is scheduled for July 1, 2026. Applicants should register on the IILM admissions portal, upload documents, attend the interview, and pay the first-year fee to confirm the seat.
Ques. Does the BCA programme include internships and projects?
Ans. Yes. Industry projects and software internships are embedded in the later years of the programme, giving students practical exposure to live development environments. The Web Development track includes a final-year capstone project. These supervised placements build strong portfolios and frequently convert into pre-placement offers with partner companies. The IILM placement cell guides students through aptitude training, resume building, and interview preparation so graduates step out job-ready.
