Candidates who have a graduate degree in B.E/B.Tech or M.Tech/M.Sc degree are eligible for the programme. In order to get admission in this institution, the candidate must give the entrance exam GATE conducted by the Institute. The students will be selected on merit basis.

Remarks:

Friendly teachers, good atmosphere, good library, fully equipped labs, easy to bunk college, big class rooms. But small ground to play, small campus, some what strict rules, only few projector's, teachers with aged above 50.

Admission:

I applied for the entrance based exam conducted by this college which is computer based followed by a personal interview, upon completion of this process i was allotted a seat in this college, for foreign applicants entrance exam is not necessary but need to qualify the online interview.

Admission:

I applied for this college from their online portal for admission site. I had to appear for the IIRS entrance exam conducted by the college itself.Based on my marks in b.tech and entrance exam followed by a personal interview i was offered this curriculum.

Remarks:

IIRS accompalishes its aim of providing us with great practical knowledge with whatever specialisations we are in. The faculty is also very experienced and qualified. The institute also consist of good hostel for the students. And the campus life is great.

Remarks:

The institute is great. Not only related to specialziations is being taught. For the purpose of development and entertainment various extracurricular activities are conducted here. The facilities and infrastructure is very good.

Because I have found it as a best University regarding my course and I have got a good rank to be placed in this university for almost free of fee. My graduated seniors have also joined this university and they were well satisfied with the faculty and they have referred us to join Andhra University.

One of my friends graduated from Andhra University. According to him, it is very reputed among students as well as professionals. But like every other institution, it also has its fair share of positives and negatives. Let me share them with you which you can analyze later on.

Pros:

  • It is one of the oldest universities in the country, hence has a great alumni network.
  • The student intake in each department is 30-60, which benefits the student-teacher interaction.
  • Each department has its own dedicated library consisting of several books, magazines, journals, and other study materials.
  • The campus is huge, covering 600 acres.
  • They have the biggest sports ground. Students are also provided with a gym and basketball court.
  • The entire campus is wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • The placements are average. The number of companies visiting the college has gradually decreased.
  • The lab equipment is not well maintained or upgraded.
  • Andhra University follows the age-old curriculum with little to no changes.
  • Students are told to put more emphasis on theoretical learning than practical.
  • Exams are mostly based on theories rather than practicals.

Overall, it is an above-average institution. It may not be like the IITs or NITs but still works well. It is suggested that you opt for this only if you have missed the opportunity to study in the IITs or NITs.
