ADBU B.Tech {Lateral} Electronics & Communication Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. The B.Tech ECE regular programme is a 4-year (8-semester) programme starting from Semester 1, open to Class XII (PCM) students. The B.Tech ECE Lateral Entry programme allows Diploma holders and B.Sc. (PCM) graduates to join directly into Semester 3, completing the degree in 3 years (6 semesters). Both programmes lead to the same B.Tech degree from ADBU. Lateral entry is ideal for students who have already completed a Diploma in ECE or a related branch and want to upgrade to a full B.Tech degree without repeating the first two years. The curriculum from Semester 3 onwards is identical for both regular and lateral entry students.

Graduates of B.Tech ECE from ADBU (including lateral entry) can pursue careers in telecommunications companies, semiconductor and VLSI design firms, embedded systems and IoT companies, defence and aerospace organisations (DRDO, ISRO, HAL), and IT companies.
