The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Guwahati is a 2-year full-time postgraduate programme spanning 4 semesters, offered under the School of Technology, Department of Computer Applications, at the Azara Campus. Hostel Fees (Optional - not mandatory)

• The Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 (academic) and Rs. 5,000 (hostel) is refundable upon completion of the programme, after adjustment of any dues.
• The Admission Fee of Rs. 18,000 is non-refundable. If a candidate withdraws before the commencement of classes, all fees paid are refunded after a deduction of Rs. 1,000 towards administrative expenses. No refund is entertained after classes commence.
• Fees are payable in semester-wise instalments as per the official payment schedule.
• Hostel fees at the Azara Campus are inclusive of room charges and food. Hostel fees at the Tapesia Campus cover accommodation only; food is available separately at the Food Court and Bosco Cafe.
• Hostel seat reservation is possible only after payment of the first semester academic fee.
• University Registration Fees and Examination Fees are payable as prescribed from time to time and are not included in the above.
• Convocation Fee is a one-time payment at the time of graduation.
• Expenses for the Major Project (Semesters III and IV) including research materials, software tools, or travel are to be borne by students separately.

ADBU conducts its own DBU-PGET for MCA admission. The national exams below are listed for reference for students who may also be applying to other institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduation in BCA, BTech (Computer Science Engineering), BSc, or B.Com with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Must have passed Mathematics or equivalent at the Class XII or graduation level.
• Candidates must appear for the Don Bosco University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-PGET) for MCA, followed by a Personal Interview on the same day.
• Provisional admission is available for candidates who have not yet received their final graduation results; they must furnish proof of eligibility within 3 months of programme commencement.

Admission Process

• Visit the official ADBU online application portal at erp.dbuniversity.ac.in and register using a valid email ID.
• Select the MCA programme, fill in the application form, and pay the application fee of Rs. 600 via UPI, Netbanking, or NEFT.
• The Admission Office will schedule the DBU-PGET and Personal Interview and communicate the date and time via email and phone.
• The DBU-PGET tests candidates on Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, English Usage, and Computer Awareness.
• Attend the DBU-PGET and Personal Interview on the scheduled date with original marksheets, proof of date of birth, caste/tribe certificate (if applicable), and the student health form.
• Candidates selected for admission must pay the Admission Fees (Rs. 18,000) on the same day by 5:00 PM; the balance fees are to be paid within 7 days.
• Fees can be paid via UPI, online portal, NEFT, or Demand Draft in favour of "Assam Don Bosco University" payable at Guwahati. No cash or cheque payments are accepted.

Scholarships

• The Economic Status Scholarship requires a family income certificate issued by the Panchayat President or equivalent authority.
• The Sports Scholarship is a tuition fee waiver and requires the student to maintain a minimum SGPA of 7.0 each semester for continuation.
