NITTE BDS : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Nitte (Deemed to be University) is a five-year undergraduate dental programme offered at A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS), Deralakatte, Mangaluru, Karnataka. ABSMIDS is a constituent dental college of Nitte Deemed to be University and is recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The programme covers dental anatomy, oral pathology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and paediatric dentistry across eight semesters followed by a one-year compulsory rotating internship. Nitte (Deemed to be University) holds NAAC A+ accreditation. Total programme fee is INR 30,41,500 for the five years.

Important Dates

• NEET-UG 2026 qualification is mandatory for BDS admission.
• Participate in MCC centralised BDS counselling at mcc.nic.in.
• Karnataka state quota seats are allotted through the Dental Admission Authority, Karnataka.
• Management and NRI quota seats: filled by inter-se NEET-UG merit.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognised board, with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in PCB and English, and must have completed 17 years of age by December 31, 2026.
• A valid NEET-UG 2026 score is mandatory. Candidates must qualify NEET-UG and register for MCC BDS counselling at mcc.nic.in to be considered for ABSMIDS seats.

Admission Process

• Appear in NEET-UG 2026 (exam: June 21, 2026) conducted by the National Testing Agency.
• Register on the MCC portal at mcc.nic.in for the centralised BDS counselling for Deemed University seats.
• Choose ABSMIDS, Nitte Deemed to be University during the online choice-filling round. Seat allotment is based on NEET-UG rank.
• Accept the allotted seat, pay the first-year fee of INR 6,13,500, and submit original documents (Class 12 marksheet, NEET-UG scorecard, identity proof) at ABSMIDS, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
• Complete DCI registration formalities after joining; report to ABSMIDS and commence the five-year BDS programme.
