I honestly am impressed with the accommodation style of IIT Indore as they introduced the apartment system which is quite modern and unique. The main purpose of this unique approach was to teach the students to live independently and learn how to cook, wash clothes, and other skills that will make them more responsible as adults.

The studio apartments had a modular kitchen with a washroom and two balconies. The campus is still in the development phase but all major facilities such as laundry, medical assistance, mess, transport, etc are available.

The academic environment here is again commendable and will give you all the vibes of being an IITian in the true sense. The ever-helping seniors and faculty will make IIT Indore your home away from home. will easily make you believe that you are around IITians. The seniors help you one every possible way be it with the sharing of notes or providing the right guidance for any course or personal issues.

Being new, the labs are still undergoing development but not to the extent that might affect your lab sessions or research work. The courses are structured as per their relevance in the industry. The research work here is great and you will be encouraged to work on your own projects at a very early stage.

Summing up it can be said that IIT Indore does have excellent accommodation and academic facilities but still has a long way to go in terms of sports facilities and in-campus cultural activities. They aren’t lacking exactly but still need to reach the IIT standards in terms of campus life.

Being established recently, IIT Indore has modern infrastructure and facilities in comparison to older IITs. The hostel facilities are indeed one of the best in the country, almost a 5-star luxury.

The hostel building comprises 5 floors with 20 5-bedroom flats on each floor. Every flat is equally spacious and has 5 students, one in each room.
Every room has a window and every flat has a balcony and a common living room.
There are 2 bathrooms and 2 washrooms per flat, along with a small kitchen with a 47-liter refrigerator.
Every room has a single bed, a full-sized almirah, and a study table.
The hostel has both LAN and Wifi facilities.
The mess hall is on the ground floor providing a decent dining facility.
The hostel has 2 medical rooms and 1 recreational room which has facilities like gym equipment, a TT table, and a foosball table.
The hostel has excellent connectivity to the main campus as there is an electric car service after every 20 minutes.

IIT Indore has one of the best hostel facilities you can find in the country and the hostel building is like a budding family.

I really like the hostel facility here as it is advanced and clean. In 1st and 2nd year, you have to share room which some student(double occupancy) which is sometimes tough because the room is built for one people and you have to adjust with your roommate everytime. But from the third year, you get a single room which is very convinient. There are 2 washrooms for every 6 students which is good compared to some of the other IITs. Talking about the meal quality, it depends on caterer. There are 3 caterers in total , in which K-star (in my opinion) makes really good food. But sometimes they mess up , the taste is not up to the mark somtimes. They keep desserts every night , keeps special dinner once in a month(which is really delicious).My most favourite is breakfast , which is a whole kind of meal for me and it's healthy and delicious too. They give milk, eggs, fruits, salad , corn flakes, tea, coffee in addition. We take whatever and how much ever we want. Registration for hostel and mess is not separated , you register in it when you pay the fees per semester means it is included in semester fees(for 5 months collectively). So, my overall experience is satisfactory.
