The fees are not hiked very often. It depends on the ministry of Human resources which decides the fee policy. The annual fee is Rs. 133200 out off which tuition fees are rs 125000 and rest is other fees. There is a scholarship for economical background students from both central and state governments. Depending on your family income you get the benefits.

I come in the general category so I didn't get any scholarship for my entire program. But I would like to say that there are various such scholarship programs that you can avail and you get to know of it during the visit to college at time of admission process.
There was tution fee waiver for the students of low annul income ie.full tution fee remission for income less than 100k. And 2/3 remission for income less than 800k.also the college help students of poor income background in education loan.this facilities given in college campus itself.
The Canara Bank and SBI both have their branches within the campus and they both offer education loans at a less interest rate for the students of VNIT. The Mtech students get a stipend of ?12,400 per month as per the provisions of the Govt of India
College offers a scholarship program for some selected students belonging to economically weak section. Also VNIT has a huge network of ALUMNI which also helps these students with financial help. Also VNIT follows the standard government policy which is tution fee waiver scheme for students whose annual income is less than 5 lakh rupees.
For low income parents below 3 lakhs PA, college helps through alumni scholarship and other government offered scholarships are timely notified in the college website. OBC guys generally get back 50% of the college fees as scholarship. SC and ST and PwD guys gets complete refund of the college and hostel fee through the scholarship
