The per month frequency of quizzes and End Sem exams, is quite hectic, as the syllabus covering is at a high pace. But as a Teaching Assistant is assigned to a group of around 30 students it is comfortable to roll on.
Academic fees: 114000, hostel and mess fee: 15000(vary) for a semester. There are many types of scholarship which college gives. The most common and famous is merit cum means scholarship, in which selected students getbtution fee reimbursed and students get 1000rs monthly allowance. Students also apply for various government scholarships. Placement in college is good as it is new IIT established in 2008.
Actually, mainly jee advance rank decide the branch. Faculty are very in research and teaching is fine. 1:8 faculty ratio, best in newer IIT. All faculties are PhD qualified with most of done their PhD in foreign universities. They teach through ppt, use board for explaination. All major exam are notified in beginning of semester and followed strictly. Level is examination is moderate with no chance of cheating, so one who study well performs good and easily pass.
A compulsory internship in the third year in the corresponding core branch provided enough exposure required to decide the career. Computer science faculties were good and chill. The best faculty, who was also my mentor in the final year project was Dr Abhinav Dhall. He's famous, you can search him on google.
Fees was OKAY at our time but there has been a surge in fees for general students which in turn is around 1-2 lacs something but for backward class people our college doesn’t charge anything. Also, for poor people earning less than 4 lacs our college provide MCM support and also fees is way less than others
Course curriculum was good. They even modify it when they think its really needed for the future generation. They have very vast number of courses. From thermodynamics to bio mechanical engineering all courses are there. It was fun to take some good course in which we actually had interest.
The fees amounts to 12 lakhs for 2 years. The fee covers tuition fee, hostel rent, infrastructure but it doesn't cover mess expenses , personal expenses and the expenses for International exploration programme.
The course curriculum is planned in a meticulous manner. There are a basket of courses about finance , accounting and much more for students to choose from. The students are encouraged to learn more on their own and faculties don't spoonfeed us.
Course Structure was quite good and courses they offer are quite relevant to mechanical engineering and they provide lots of courses for us to choose the course which you want. Academics was quite good bit i must say that some faculties are brilliant but the way they teach is not good. They are good in research but not in teaching and some are very excellent in both teaching and research
The first year program fees of my course was around 38,000 and as I received scholarships so I never face any difficulty in depositing this college fees.I belong from backward class and hence my fees are less and I got relaxation in my college fees as well.
Our course curriculum gives us good knowledge about the old history of India.Every thing about war is very clearly mentioned in our curriculum. This subject is interesting and students can gain much knowledge from this subject.
1 lakhs per semester as tuition fee and approx 30-40 k extra for hostel, food, etc. It is completely feasible as if anybody couldn't afford then we have a bank- State Bank of India in our campus only which offers loans directly without any long processes.
Our college is very much research driven. According to some rankings, IIT Ropar is India's no 1 College in terms of research. That's the best thing we can have. Also placement scenarios are also very good. If anyone is interested in reach field then he must take our college is he has enough rank.
IIT Ropar is a centrally funded college. Tuition fees is around 2 lakh per annum for a general category student with parental income above 5 lakh per annum. 1/3 of fees for students with parental income less than 5 lakh and no fees for less than 1 lakh of income.
The course curriculum is that they had 6 days a week teaching criteria with 6 hrs a day teaching. Course curriculum is totally based on Syllabus prescribed by RTU Kota. The syllabus had all the knowledge needed for a graduating student to have.
Fee structure is feasible of this college as compared to other colleges which are newly opened. This college is under MhrD and not under PPP mode, that's why fee structure is good and feasible. One can afford it's fees.
The course is basically same in all the IITs and the course material is also available on the website called NPTEL, maintained by top IITs. The course is more focused on research part, it also includes laboratories work for practical knowledge. Many competitions are also held to encourage students. The time table is well created providing ample time.
