Ques. Which departments at Banasthali are best for PhD research in terms of infrastructure?
Ans. Pharmacy (NIRF rank 22) is the strongest research department by national ranking. Bio-Sciences and Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Computer Science have DST-supported and ICICI-endowed centres. The DST Centre for Research in Mathematical Sciences is one of very few such nationally funded maths centres at a private university in India. Candidates should contact the prospective supervisor directly to confirm active publication output and project funding in their chosen area before applying.
Ques. How does Banasthali PhD compare to a Rajasthan state university PhD on fees and quality?
Ans. Rajasthan state universities (University of Rajasthan, MDS University Ajmer, MLSU Udaipur) charge lower fees, often INR 20,000 to 80,000 total for 3 years.
