JNVU Admission 2027 is done online on the JNVU admission portal at jnvuiums.in. JNVU, or Jai Narain Vyas University, is the state university of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. BA, B.Sc and B.Com admissions are based on your Class 12 marks, and there is no entrance test. BA LLB and BBA LLB admissions are based on FD-LET, the five year law test held by JNVU. The three year LLB uses another JNVU test, called TD-LET. MBA admission is based on your CMAT score, and Ph.D admission is based on MPET and an interview. In 2026, the UG admission process started on 23 May. The 2027 notice is not out yet, so the dates on this page are tentative and follow the last notices.

The Faculty of Law at JNVU offers two five year law degrees, BA LLB and BBA LLB. Admission to both is based on FD-LET, the five year law entrance test held by JNVU. After the result, JNVU makes a category wise counselling merit list from the test scores. JNVU has not published the seat count or the fee for the 2027 batch yet.

JNVU MBA Admission 2027
The MBA is taught at the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. JNVU offers MBA (CMAT) with 60 seats, MBA (Tourism and Hospitality) with 30 seats and an Executive MBA with 30 seats. It also lists an MBA (Financial Services). Admission to MBA (CMAT) is based on your CMAT score. The Executive MBA is for people with two years of work experience.

JNVU offers the Ph.D in its teaching departments of arts, science, commerce, management and law. Admission is based on MPET, the research entrance test held by JNVU, and then an interview. If you have cleared UGC NET, JRF or SLET, you do not take MPET. You still have to face the interview.

Short answers to what students ask before they apply.
Can I apply for both BA LLB and BBA LLB?▾
Yes. Both degrees use the same test, FD-LET, so you take one test. At counselling, you choose the degree you want if your rank allows it.
Is there negative marking in FD-LET or TD-LET?▾
The marking rules are printed in each year's test notice. Read the notice on the admission portal before the test day, so you know how to answer.
Where do I find the FD-LET syllabus?▾
JNVU puts the syllabus and rules with the test notice on the admission portal. For TD-LET, the rules came on 26 May in 2025, so you should look for them in late May.
What if I find a mistake in the TD-LET answer key?▾
You can send an objection inside the window given with the answer key. Keep proof from a standard book ready, because the window is open only for a few days.
I am in the final year of my degree. Can I sit TD-LET?▾
Read the TD-LET notice for the rule on final year students. If it allows you, keep your final result ready before counselling, because JNVU checks your degree marks there.
Do I need a Rajasthan domicile certificate?▾
You need it only if you want a seat reserved for Rajasthan students. Students from other states can apply for the open seats without it.
My category certificate is from another state. Will it count?▾
For reserved seats in Rajasthan, you need a category certificate issued in Rajasthan. A certificate from another state lets you apply only in the open category.
Can I change my BA subjects after admission?▾
Subject changes depend on the seats left in each subject and the faculty rules. Ask the faculty office soon after you join, because changes close early.
My Class 12 result has a compartment. Can I still apply?▾
Your merit is made from the final Class 12 marksheet. If you clear the compartment before the JNVU last date, upload the new marksheet and apply.
What happens if I miss the fee date after the merit list?▾
Your seat goes to the next student on the list. Pay the fee by the date in the notice, and keep the receipt safe.
Can I apply to JNVU and other universities at the same time?▾
Yes. Applying to JNVU does not stop you from applying elsewhere. Once you pay the JNVU fee, read the refund rule before you leave the seat.
Can I take admission in an affiliated college instead?▾
Yes. Many colleges in Jodhpur are affiliated with JNVU and give the same JNVU degree. They run their own admissions, so you need to check each college notice.
Does JNVU have hostels for first year students?▾
Yes, JNVU runs hostels, including the KN Girls Hostel. Hostel rooms have their own merit list and form, so apply after you get your seat.
Can I join JNVU through CUET UG?▾
The JNVU UG process for BA, B.Sc and B.Com uses your Class 12 marks, not CUET. Check the 2027 notice in case the rule changes.
Can I take FD-LET again if I do not get a seat?▾
Yes. FD-LET is held every year, so you can try again in the next cycle if you still meet the Class 12 rule. Keep your scorecard from each year.
Will my JNVU law degree let me practise as a lawyer?▾
Yes, the law degrees are approved by the Bar Council of India. After your degree, you enrol with the Bar Council of Rajasthan and clear the All India Bar Exam to practise.
How do I know my counselling date?▾
JNVU puts out a counselling programme with dates for each rank range. Find your rank in it and report on your day with your originals.
Can I get a seat in the first come first served round if I missed the merit list?▾
Yes, if seats are still left. Watch the portal from late July, because you can apply only while seats remain.
What should I check before paying the form fee?▾
Check your name, date of birth and marks against your marksheets. A wrong entry can stop your admission at the paper check.
Does JNVU send admission letters by post?▾
No. Merit lists, counselling programmes and admission slips come on the admission portal. Log in often during the admission weeks, so you do not miss a date.
Can a student from another state apply for BA LLB?▾
Yes. You take FD-LET like everyone else and compete for the open seats. Reserved seats need a Rajasthan category certificate.
Someone is offering me a JNVU seat for money. Is that real?▾
No. JNVU gives seats only through its admission portal, merit lists and counselling. Do not pay anyone outside the portal, whatever they promise you.
