The faculties are too good with well teaching experience and industrial exposure, which I heard and read on site. It's the same, not any minor change. On some education aite mentioned average students to faculties ration, which is false. IIM T has a very good students to faculties ratio, which is around 25:1.
The PGP program at IIM Trichy runs for a duration of 2 years and is divided into six terms. The summer internship process is a mandatory part of the curriculum for the students after the completion of the first year. The faculty-student ratio is 1:15 which means for every 15 students there is one faculty. The curriculum of IIM Trichy is the same as that of IIM Bangalore. It is designed in a way to provide students with good knowledge about the basics and advanced concepts in management. The course curriculum will be changing each year according to the current affairs and trends to give proper industry exposure to students.
The course curriculum for the PGPM programme at IIM Trichy has been well crafted and modelled with the changing industry trends. Students must acquire 51 credits in the 1st year and they can choose their elective and core subjects based on interest. The faculty members are very supportive and well qualified. They adopt the methodology of case studies, projects, guest lectures, seminars, dissertations, questionnaire, etc. The institute has a balance faculty-students ratio with 32 full-time faculty currently.
The quality of the program provided at IIM Trichy is par up to the global standards. The PGP program runs for 2 years and is divided into six terms. The internship is a mandatory part of the curriculum and all the students should take up an internship program after the completion of the first year. The first-year curriculum gives detailed basic general management and the second year curriculum allow students to choose their own specializations.
The course curriculum of PGPM is designed specially to make sure that students not only study the concepts of the program but also understand the practical applications of the concepts as well. The course curriculum includes projects, real-life assignments, lectures, seminars, debates, and off-campus activities to make the learning experience fun, and enjoyable.
Finance is one of the top courses pursued after the completion of graduation. Students who wish to make their career in Finance require a PG degree in the relevant discipline. The faculty at IIMs are experts and have completed their research work in various specializations. The semester exams were conducted at the end of each semester i.e. thrice in a year.
I chose PGPM because it includes both the components of the MBA and PGDM and also focuses more on imparting practical knowledge. It is a professional course that provides various career options and job prospects. The course runs for a duration of 2 years. The course curriculum changes each year according to the current affairs and changing scenario to give proper industry exposure to students.
The course gives a perspective of all areas in the first year and in the second year, students can select their choice of courses. The choices are made based on the number of points that are given to the students equally. The students that can be enrolled in the course are limited. The student ratio is around 65:165 (Men: Women). Students are given a feedback form for each course multiple times.
I selected the PGPM course. in which I will select my specialization area subject for major and minor I will select finance. The faculty to student ratio is 1:30, which is too high compare to other new IIMS. The faculties are at least PhD from old IIMs and also welled experience of teaching as well as industries.
The curriculum is the same as old IIMs. Its parents IIM is IIM Bangalore. It follows the pedagogy of IIMs. All the faculties are well Teaching experienced and all co-operate experience. It follows the case base study to interact and active discussion to peer learning. The exam is online platform and case base exam.
