About IIM Lucknow PGPM
IIM Lucknow offers its two-year, full-time PGPM as two courses: PGP, the flagship MBA, and PGP-ABM, an MBA in Agribusiness Management. Both take students through CAT, then a writing test and an interview on campus. The full fee is INR 20.50 Lakhs, the same for both courses, with the hostel room included. The General CAT floor is 90 percentile for PGP, the toughest course, and 85 for PGP-ABM, the easiest. The batch of 2026 had 559 students, all placed, at an average of INR 33.2 LPA. IIM Lucknow PGPM Fees
The total fee is INR 20.50 Lakhs, and INR 20.75 Lakhs once the refundable deposits and the alumni fee are added. The tuition fee is INR 12.60 Lakhs of that. You pay term by term over six terms. Your hostel room is part of the infrastructure fee, but you pay the mess at actual cost every term. PGP and PGP-ABM charge the same fee.

IIM Lucknow PGPM Admission Dates
CAT 2026 registration closed on 22 Sep 2026 and the exam is on 29 Nov 2026. The result is expected in Jan 2027 and classes start in Jun 2027. IIM Lucknow posts its own shortlist after the CAT result. You then fill the WAT-PI form online before its deadline.

IIM Lucknow PGPM Eligibility
You need a bachelor's degree with 50% marks, or 45% if you are SC, ST or PwD. You can apply in your final year and join if you finish the degree in time. Your CAT score is the only test IIM Lucknow reads for these two courses. For PGP-ABM you must also fill the Special MBA-ABM form.

IIM Lucknow PGPM Admission Process
CAT carries 60 of the 100 shortlist points for both courses, and the interview carries 40 of the 100 final points. First you clear the CAT floor. Then IIM Lucknow ranks you on a composite score and calls the top names for the writing test and interview. You need 12 out of 40 in the interview to stay on the final list.

The General CAT floor is 90 percentile for PGP and 85 for PGP-ABM, and for NC-OBC and EWS it is 82 and 77. These are the lowest totals IIM Lucknow will look at, not closing scores. Each section of CAT also has its own floor. Most students who get a call score well above these numbers.

IIM Lucknow PGPM Scholarships
The biggest help is the full tuition fee of INR 12.60 Lakhs under the central Top Class schemes for SC and ST students. IIM Lucknow also gives need-based scholarships by family income, one year at a time. NIRF data shows 101 students got full tuition from the government and 91 from the institute in one year.

Pick it if:
You want a management job close to food and farming: year 2 adds agribusiness and rural courses, and NAFED joined the recruiters for the batch of 2025.
Your CAT total is 85 to 89.99 percentile, General: that clears the PGP-ABM floor of 85 but not the PGP floor of 90, so this is your IIM Lucknow call.
Your degree is in agriculture, dairy, food or an allied science: the ABM shortlist gives 20 of its 100 points to these subjects, against 5 for a non-engineering degree in PGP.
Skip it if:

Your CAT total is 90 percentile or more, General, with 85 in each section: you clear the floor for both courses, so fill the Special MBA-ABM form too.
Skip it if:
Your CAT total is under 90 percentile, General: the PGP floor is 90, and nobody below it gets a PGP call, whatever the rest of the profile.
You are an engineer hoping for diversity points: the 5 academic diversity points in PGP go only to degrees outside engineering.
Counsellor's advice
If your CAT total clears 90 percentile with 85 in each section, apply for PGP and fill the Special MBA-ABM form too. If your degree is in agriculture or an allied subject, rank PGP-ABM first; its shortlist gives your degree 20 points.

Sit the WAT and interview: The writing test counts 10 and the interview 40 of the final 100. You need 12 of 40 in the interview.
Accept the offer: Offers go out by final score in each category. Pay the acceptance fee by the date in your offer.
Register on campus: Bring your original degree, mark sheets and category papers. Classes start in June.
