Ques. What is the total fee for IIM Lucknow PGP?
Ans. The total fee for the IIM Lucknow Post Graduate Programme is INR 20,75,000 for the two-year programme. Year 1 fees total INR 10,95,000 (tuition INR 6,30,000 plus other fees INR 4,65,000) and Year 2 fees total INR 9,80,000 (tuition INR 6,30,000 plus other fees INR 3,50,000). Hostel and mess charges are separate. Education loans covering the full programme fees are available through partner banks for admitted students.
Ques. What CAT percentile is needed for IIM Lucknow PGP?
Ans. General category candidates need a minimum CAT percentile of 90 to be eligible for the IIM Lucknow PGP shortlist process. For EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the cutoff ranges from 72 to 82 percentile. SC candidates require 55 to 65 percentile and ST and PwD candidates require 50 to 60 percentile. However, meeting the minimum cutoff only qualifies a candidate for stage 1 shortlisting which also considers academic scores, work experience, and diversity components.

Ans. The IIM Lucknow PGP 2026 batch achieved 100% placement with an average package of INR 33.2 LPA and a median of INR 32.9 LPA. The highest domestic package stood at INR 1 Crore per annum. A total of 580 offers were made to 559 students by 200 participating companies including McKinsey, BCG, Bain and Company, Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan among others.
Ques. Is work experience required for IIM Lucknow PGP admission?
Ans. Work experience is not mandatory for the IIM Lucknow PGP but it contributes 10% to the stage 1 composite shortlisting score. Fresh graduates may apply as long as they meet the CAT percentile cutoff and academic eligibility. Candidates with relevant work experience in corporate, government, or research settings receive a higher composite score at stage 1, which improves the probability of receiving a WAT and PI call from IIM Lucknow.
Ques. What is the selection process for IIM Lucknow PGP after CAT?
Ans. After CAT results, IIM Lucknow shortlists candidates using a composite score where CAT carries 60% weight, Class 12 marks carry 10%, graduation marks carry 10%, work experience carries 10%, and academic and gender diversity carry 5% each. Shortlisted candidates attend a Written Ability Test (30 minutes, 300-word essay) and a Personal Interview (20 to 25 minutes) on campus. A minimum score of 12 out of 40 in the PI round is required to remain eligible for the final merit list.
