I personally chose this course because it is among the top Veterinary University in India and provides quality education, the faculty here are scientists themselves, they teach here, in the second year itself, the course curriculum would be taught by 52 scientists, the ratio of students: faculty is 2:1, all faculty are PhD holders from renowned Veterinary Universities, exams were not very easy to pass here as their faculty will not spoonfeed you by giving their all notes to recite, here you have to put all your efforts to clear the exam and mug up the books.
Yes, its very feasible annual fees are about 45000 plus every month we are required to pay mess charges which are dependent on the number of diets one had taken and is about 2500 per month. Also being located at a hilly place there are very little additional expenses
Its designed as per Veterinary council of India recommendation for minimum standards of veterinary education in India and it gives holistic information of animal management, health, ethics and product processing which are the most important branches of animal husbandry l.
The fee is structure is very much reasonable i.e. 14000* for a year . It is one of the lowest in all veterinary colleges . The facilities which the Institute provides costs a lot more than this . Veterinary degree is a government funded degree , if it would not have been funded by government the actual cost will be in few lakhs per year .
The course is as per the VCI , from 2016 the pattern has been changed and is almost similar to MBBS now i.e. 5.5Yrs . All the subjects of veterinary science and animal husbandry are covered in the course . The course deals with study of various domestic and wild animals .
ICAR -IVRI being a centrally funded Institute has kept the fee structure very reasonable ₹14000* , one of the lowest in Veterinary colleges of India . The Scholarship that we get are much more than this amount , so in a way we started earling from our 1st day of college .
This professional course is of 5.5 years and is perfectly designed to transform a student to veterinarian . It focuses on all the aspects of veterinary & animal sciences i.e. Anatomy , Physiology , Biochemistry , Nutrition , Farm Management , Pathology , Microbiology , Genetics & breeding , wildlife , Medicine , surgery etc.
As i already mentioned before, IVRI being Indian institute i.e Central government aided University, the fee structure is, for sure, just cool for almost any student to work with. (easily feasible). To give rough figures for UR & OBC cat. Annual fee is 13000/-*And for SC & ST cat. its around 4000/-*Believe me, these figures are one of the least fee amount throughout Veticos in India.
The course is in tandem with upgraded VCI revised curriculum, Which is just the same way, followed in any other vetico. The added benefit is certainly the valuable guidance and instructions of Scientist. Yes, you guys heard it right, IVRI is the only VET institute in which all the courses are thoroughly taught and explained by remarkable ICAR scientists.
Fees are almost negligible as we pay about 3000 rupees for 6 mon(1 semester) including our hostel and academics. Even institute also provide institute fellowship so that we can bring out our expenses at our own. Even institute provide us money to buy books and stationary purposes.
A healthy research is going on our institute.Staff and students are contributing to their best extent to bring out something that can be beneficial for our pateints and at the same time to their owners as well. A lots of work on diagnostic kit preparation, vaccine developments, new areas of drug developments, improvised management practices development for better farm running by farmers.
Fee structure was very much comfortable. Semester wise fee was deposited. It includes academic fee plus hostel fee which is about 3300 to 3500 according to semester.
Course curriculum was very much extensive, includes traditional parasitology and its technique, advance molecular technique and project development, review writing, paper writing, seminar, conference etc.
