Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, or equivalent science degree from a UGC-recognised university. Graduates with backgrounds in botany, chemistry, food science, or allied agriculture disciplines may also be eligible. Verify exact eligibility at ubkv.ac.in.

The programme is offered by UBKV in collaboration with the Tea Research Association (TRA), Toklai, one of the oldest and most respected tea research bodies in India. Seats are limited. Merit in the qualifying degree is the primary selection criterion. Candidates from North Bengal are especially well-placed given the proximity to Darjeeling, Dooars, and Terai tea-growing zones and the regional research network centred at TRA Toklai, Jorhat, Assam.

Admission Process
