After the JEE-Main ranks are announced, Odisha students not securing desired seats through JOSAA need to register on the OJEE website. Notifications for this process are released about a month after the JEE-Main results. Students must input their preferences for colleges and courses, lock their choices, and pay the required fees. Temporary seat allotments are made within a week, allowing students to withdraw if they are not satisfied. Final allotments require document verification as per the OJEE guidelines.

Selected students pay university registration fees and attend an orientation to start their programs.
