IMU Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In our college mainly the placement starts from 4 th semester. The first company which comes is chevrons and after that from 5th and 6th sem companies like NYK , Pacific basin , Shell , torm, goodwood, the eagle star . Our seniors placement percentage was extremely good like 90% of them were placed and rest of them have gone for defence and research purposes

From 4th semester cadets become eligible for campus placements. Major recruiters are pacific basin, fleet management and others companies include chevron, shell , MOL, synergy, anglo estern, dyna gas. 80% cadets gets placement . I will sail after getting placed

So the placement starts from 2nd semester . The placement here is pretty good for girls there is 100% placement and for boys it's 85% .many foreign and Indian companies comes to the university for hiring cadets onboard the highest package was 90000 and the lowest for trainee marine engineer 60000 .the plan after getting the degree is to work onboard as a TME

The companies can come any time depending upon the demand but most number of recruits are taken from 3rd year. More than 15 companies visit and most cadets placement are done on campus also . Around 80 percent are placed some don't choose placement and wanted to study more like for Mtech . Overall campus placement is quite decent

The placement of IMU Kolkata is a top notch. Mili the gadgets get placed in the second years and third years. The main company that comes to the college are saver on Synergy ,Williamson shipping management ,Anglo eastern company ,shipping corporation of India ,Scorpio ,Diana gas, marks line evergreen shipping company goodwood, etc. the average placement packages around 20 lacs which which reaches to around 40 lacs. From second semester onwards the gadgets become eligible for campus placement. The placement percentage of the students getting placed in the companies is 80 percent

The placement rate for our college is good. Lady cadet got placement from first semester. And from second year placement will start and if a person is all clear then easily he/she will get placement. At least 95% students got placement every year

As of my understanding the placements are going smootthly. 160 cadets will be smoothly placed out of a batch of 250.if you don't have a backlog then you'll surely get placed. Big companies throughout the world recruit from our college. You'll also get a package of nearly 7-8 lakhs in the starting.

Campus placement is almost 100 percent every year almost all students will be placed at various companies all over the world so many companies visited every years on our campus and gives placement after examination and interviews

The placement scenario is quite simple here you just need to clear all your subjects till any company is visiting the campus for placements. The placement ratio is good as compared to other imu campus.

Students can get placement from 2nd year. But some companies have sometimes even came for lady cadets in 1st semester also. The placement is the best in our country here. You get the best companies here. Your package depends on the type of ship you are placed.
