The Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), established 2009, is a private institution located in Himachal Pradesh, Kangra. The University is funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University offers education in three-year full-time undergraduate courses in B.Sc., B.Voc, and B.A.(Hons). Admission to PG courses is based on the entrance exam conducted at All India Level by the University.

CUHP Ph.D. Admissions
Candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. courses will require to appear in Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Shodh Patrata Pariksha (HPKVSPP-2020). Central University offers a number of specializations in fields like Management, Chemistry, Biology, Tourism and Travel Management, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, History and more.
Eligibility: Master’s degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks in the final examination. The candidates who have qualified tests like JRF, NET, SET, SLET are also eligible for admission in Ph.D.
Registration Process: Interested candidates will require to submit application form through online mode only by visiting the website http://www.cuhimachal.ac.in/. An application fee of INR 400 for General, INR 300 for OBC and INR 100 for SC/ST/Divyang need to be paid.
Central University of Himachal Pradesh Admissions
CUHP offers admission to UG courses on the basis of merit scored by the candidate in the qualifying examination, whereas, an entrance examination is conducted for admission in PG courses. Applicants seeking admission will be required to fill an online application form available on the official website of the University (www.cuhimachal.ac.in). They will also need to pay the application fee as under:
- General Category: INR 400 (INR 200 for B.Voc/ PG Diploma/ Certificate)
- OBC Category: INR 300 (INR 150 for B.Voc/ PG Diploma/ Certificate)
- SC/ST/PH Categories: INR 100 (INR 50 B.Voc/ PG Diploma/ Certificate)
The University has reserved seats in all programs for admission for the students belonging to reserved category. 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC – Non-creamy layer, and 5% for PWD candidates. 2 seats are available under supernumerary quota for students coming from Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates seeking admission under the reserved categories shall be required to fulfill the prescribed conditions of admission to the Course.
Admission of International Students
The university has reserved 15% seats for Foreign Nationals/ NRIs/ PIOs category. They will not be required to appear in the entrance examination, rather they can produce the scores of aptitude tests like SAT/GMAT/GRE/TOEFL. The candidates will also have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.
