RUHS P.B.B.Sc Nursing FAQs
Ques. Who is eligible for P.B.B.Sc Nursing at RUHS and what is the minimum qualification required?
Ans. The primary eligibility requirement is a completed 3-year GNM diploma from a recognised institution and active registration with any State Nursing Council in India. Minimum marks in the GNM programme should be 50% for General/OBC candidates and 45% for SC/ST. Candidates who completed GNM from a Rajasthan-affiliated institution are eligible for state quota seats in RUHS-affiliated nursing colleges.
Ques. How does P.B.B.Sc Nursing differ from the regular B.Sc Nursing programme?
Ans. The regular B.Sc Nursing is a 4-year programme open to Class 12 students with PCB background. P.B.B.Sc Nursing is a 2-year bridge programme exclusively for GNM certificate holders who want to upgrade to a degree qualification. The P.B.B.Sc curriculum builds on existing GNM knowledge with advanced nursing concepts, community health, and research methodology not covered in depth during GNM training.
Ques. What opportunities open up after completing P.B.B.Sc Nursing from RUHS?
Ans. A P.B.B.Sc Nursing degree from a RUHS-affiliated college qualifies graduates for senior staff nurse posts, nursing tutor positions in nursing schools, and community health officer roles in primary health centres. It also meets the entry requirement for M.Sc Nursing, which opens faculty, clinical specialist, and nursing superintendent roles in hospitals and nursing colleges.
Ques. What is the total fee for P.B.B.Sc Nursing at RUHS for general category students?
Ans. For general and OBC category students, the total fee is INR 1,00,000 over 2 years (INR 50,000 per year) at government-affiliated nursing colleges. SC/ST students and all women candidates pay INR 40,000 total (INR 20,000 per year). Private affiliated colleges may charge higher fees. Fee revision for 2026-27 will be announced on ruhsraj.org.
Ques. Is RUHS CUET conducted separately for P.B.B.Sc Nursing or is it the same exam as B.Sc Nursing?
Ans. RUHS CUET 2026 is a common entrance test that covers multiple RUHS nursing and paramedical programmes including P.B.B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Nursing. The exam was held on 21 May 2026, with results declared on 2 June 2026. Separate merit lists are prepared programme-wise. Counselling for both programmes is conducted simultaneously through ruhsraj.org from June 16 onwards.
Ques. How many seats are available and which colleges offer P.B.B.Sc Nursing under RUHS?
