Bodoland University is situated in Kokrajhar, Assam which is very peaceful and calm environment along with complimenting picturesque landscape. It is state university and is result of struggle and aspirations of the people of this region. Initially, the university was set up as a campus in ‘Guahati University’ in year 1997, which later was expanded to fully-fledged campus as ‘Bodoland University’ in 29 February 2009.

Bodoland University offers only Postgraduate courses. The MA course is offered in 8 specializations and the M.Sc. course is offered in 9 specializations. The University also offers the MBA course at the PG level. Applications to the M.A., M.Sc. and MCA courses are accepted from candidates who have completed their graduation of 3 years duration, from a relevant stream.
Bodoland University offers the M.Phil and PhD courses at the doctorate level.
candidates who have completed their Master’s degree from a relevant stream with 55% marks for the general category candidates and 50% marks for SC and ST candidates in the qualifying examination.
Along with PG and doctorate level courses, Bodoland University also offers the DBT and PGDHRE Diploma program.
Candidates seeking admission to DBT course must have competed 10+2 from any stream and whereas in case of PGDHRE, candidates must have completed graduation from any discipline with 45% marks in the qualifying degree examination.
Admission to all level courses will be based on performance in Entrance Test conducted by university.

Bodoland University provides scholarship to reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC). The university offers different scholarships to different candidates on the basis of their merit and documents. Applicants who are eligible to apply for scholarship are required to apply in offline mode through university concerned department till the prescribed date.
