CSMU Placement Process - Step by Step
The CRC at CSMU follows a clear and fair placement process. Here is how it works:
Step 1 - Company Invitation: The TPC reaches out to companies and also receives requests from companies that want to hire. Companies then share their job details, salary, profiles, and selection criteria.
Step 2 - Student Registration: Students who want to take part in placements share their resumes with the TPO (Training and Placement Officer) along with a passport-size photo. Students are expected to not approach these companies on their own.
Step 3 - Pre-Placement Training: Before the drive starts, students go through mock tests, soft skills sessions, CV building, gap analysis, and career counselling. This is done to make sure each student is job-ready.
Step 4 - Campus / Off-Campus / Pool Drives: Companies visit the campus for drives. CSMU also facilitates off-campus and pool campus opportunities so that more students get a chance.
Step 5 - Selection and Result: Companies screen students through written tests, group discussions, and interviews. Those selected are added to the final placement list.
Step 6 - Further Opportunities: Students who do not get placed in the first round are given more opportunities in the next drive. Students who choose to start their own business or go for higher studies are handled separately through the Entrepreneurship and Career Counselling Cell.
Note: Placement drives at CSMU start from the end of the 3rd semester for eligible students.
