OSGU Admission Dates 2027

OSGU accepts applications through two routes: direct merit-based online admission via the university portal, and CUET-based admission for programmes covered under the NTA framework. Engineering admits also accept JEE Main scores. Law programmes at OSGU accept CLAT in addition to direct merit. The 2026-27 academic session is underway and the admission window for that session has closed. The 2027-28 cycle will follow a similar schedule.

For PG programmes (MBA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, MPT, and M.Sc), the admission timeline runs on a similar annual cycle. CUET PG and GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech. MBA admissions at OSGU accept CUET PG and CMAT scores, or direct merit applications with group discussion and personal interview.

OSGU Courses and Fees

OSGU offers over 200 programmes across its 12 schools. The fees below reflect the total fee for the full course duration based on the most recent fee cycle data available. Hostel fees are additional.

Boys and Girls residential hostels on campus charge annual fees of up to INR 1,44,000 per year, inclusive of accommodation and mess. The university also offers day-scholar and transport options for students from Hisar city.

Fee payment at OSGU can be made semester-wise for most UG programmes. The Pharm.D programme at INR 9,17,500 is the highest-fee programme at OSGU and reflects the six-year clinical training duration required for this professional pharmacy degree.

OSGU Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission is through CUET UG scores, JEE Main scores, or OSGU’s direct merit-based admission without a mandatory entrance exam. Applicants must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum 45% aggregate for the General category (40% for SC/ST). Admissions are conducted through an online application portal followed by document verification and online merit-list-based counselling.

OSGU offers specialisations in Printing and Packaging Technology and Fire Safety Engineering that are rare among private universities in northern India, alongside the mainstream CSE, AI and ML, Cyber Security, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and ECE branches.

Pharmacy Admission (B.Pharm and Pharm.D)

B.Pharm and Pharm.D admissions are governed by the Pharmacy Council of India. Applicants require 10+2 with PCB or PCM with a minimum 45% to 50% aggregate. Both CUET UG scores and direct applications are accepted. Pharm.D (6-year Doctor of Pharmacy) admits students into a clinical pharmacy track that includes 1 year of hospital internship in the final year.

Law Admission (BA LLB and LLB)

BA LLB (5-year integrated) admissions accept CLAT scores as well as direct merit applications approved by the Bar Council of India. Applicants need 10+2 from any stream with a minimum 45%. LLB Professional (3-year) is open to any graduate with a minimum 45% aggregate. LLM (1-year postgraduate law) requires an LLB degree with 55% aggregate. OSGU’s School of Law has BCI recognition for both the integrated and stand-alone LLB programmes.

Health Sciences Admission (BPT and Allied Health)

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is a 4.5-year programme including a mandatory 6-month internship at an affiliated clinical centre. Eligibility is 10+2 with PCB and minimum 45% aggregate. B.Sc Allied Health Sciences programmes (MLT, Optometry, Operation Theatre Technology, Radiology, and Physician Assistant) share the same PCB eligibility base and admit through CUET and direct merit. MHA (Master of Hospital Administration) is a management programme that admits BPT, MBBS, BDS, or any health sciences graduate.

Agriculture Admission

B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture is a 4-year programme under the School of Agriculture. Applicants must have 10+2 with PCB or Agriculture as a subject. CUET UG scores and direct merit applications are both accepted. M.Sc Agriculture (2 years) requires a B.Sc Agriculture or related degree with 55% aggregate.

Management Admission (MBA)

MBA at OSGU is offered in General Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain, and International Business. Admission is through CUET PG or CMAT scores followed by a group discussion and personal interview. Direct merit applications with PI are accepted for candidates who have not appeared in a management entrance exam. Eligibility is any bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate.

Doctoral Programmes (Ph.D.)

Ph.D. programmes are available across more than 40 disciplines at OSGU. Admission is through a UGC NET qualification or an OSGU-conducted research aptitude test followed by a personal interview. JRF holders and UGC-CSIR NET qualifiers get direct admission to the interview round. Ph.D. programmes are available in full-time and part-time modes, with a minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years for full-time candidates.

OSGU Placements

OSGU’s placement cell facilitates campus recruitment across engineering, management, pharmacy, law, health sciences, and agriculture programmes. The university reports a placement rate of 92% across programmes with participation from 450 or more companies.

The IT and software sector accounts for the largest share of B.Tech placements, with software companies recruiting from CSE, AI, Cyber Security, and ECE branches. Manufacturing and core engineering firms recruit from Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches. The pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors recruit from B.Pharm, Pharm.D, BPT, and allied health sciences programmes. Legal firms and corporate legal departments recruit from law school graduates. Management trainees and analyst roles recruit from MBA graduates across specialisations.

Agriculture graduates from OSGU find placements in agri-tech companies, food processing firms, government agricultural extension services, and cooperatives, reflecting the importance of agriculture in Haryana’s economy.

OSGU Campus and Infrastructure

OSGU operates from a 50-acre campus in Hisar, Haryana. The campus hosts 12 dedicated academic school blocks, each equipped with classrooms, seminar halls, and discipline-specific laboratories. Engineering labs cover computing, electronics, civil materials testing, and fire safety training. Pharmacy labs include pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical dispensing facilities. The School of Health Sciences has a physiotherapy clinical lab and an allied health sciences training suite.

The central library stocks print and digital collections across all disciplines, with journal subscriptions and online databases for research and postgraduate students. A dedicated research block supports Ph.D. and faculty research activities. The campus also features a student activity centre, indoor sports courts, a gymnasium, outdoor grounds, and spaces for cultural programmes.

Residential facilities include separate Boys and Girls hostels with annual fees up to INR 1,44,000 per year. Both hostels have mess facilities, common rooms, wi-fi connectivity, and in-house security. The university’s location in Hisar, a major city in western Haryana, provides students access to city amenities while living on a contained campus. Hisar is 160 km from Delhi via NH-9, with direct rail and road connections to Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Bikaner.

The campus location makes OSGU accessible to students from western Haryana, southern Punjab, and northern Rajasthan. For students from Delhi NCR, the 2-hour road distance is manageable for weekend travel.

OSGU vs GD Goenka University vs Manav Rachna University

Aspirants evaluating private multi-discipline universities in Haryana commonly compare OSGU (Hisar) with GD Goenka University (Gurugram) and Manav Rachna University (Faridabad). All three are UGC-recognised, AICTE-approved private universities in Haryana offering engineering, management, and humanities programmes. The key differences lie in age, geography, and programme breadth.

GD Goenka University and Manav Rachna University are better established in the Gurugram-Faridabad corridor and have longer placement track records given their founding years. OSGU, while younger, covers the widest disciplinary range in Haryana with professional programme approvals that GD Goenka and Manav Rachna do not carry, specifically PCI for pharmacy and BCI for law.
