About DSU B.Tech
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University in Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli, offers a four-year, full-time B.Tech in 12 branches. The university was set up in 2019 under the Tamil Nadu Private Universities Act, and AICTE approves its engineering courses. The full fee without hostel is INR 10.15 Lakhs in the Computing group and INR 5.15 Lakhs in the Core and Bio group. Computing group tuition falls as your Class 12 marks rise. DSU B.Tech Fees
The full fee without hostel is INR 10.15 Lakhs in the Computing group and INR 5.15 Lakhs in the Core and Bio group. With the cheapest hostel room it comes to INR 13.75 Lakhs and INR 8.75 Lakhs. You pay tuition every semester, and in the Computing group your Class 12 marks set it. A student with 80% or more pays INR 85,000 a semester instead of INR 1,25,000.

DSU B.Tech Eligibility
You need 50% in Class 12 across Physics, Maths and one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics or Biotechnology. SC and ST students need 45%. The 2025-26 eligibility notice asks 45% for everyone, so check with the Admission Cell. Biology students can apply for Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology and Agricultural Engineering.

You apply online, pick your route and choose your branch. On the DSUEE route, the university's entrance score and your Class 12 marks decide your place. On the JEE Main route, your JEE Main score does. Some courses add counselling or an interview. Paying the first semester fee confirms your seat.

All 12 branches take students through DSUEE with Class 12 marks, or through a JEE Main score. The university does not publish a closing score for any branch. What it does publish is the Class 12 marks rule and the tuition each marks level pays.

DSU B.Tech Placements
DSU does not publish B.Tech placement numbers. The DS Group, the group behind the university, reports a highest offer of INR 15.5 LPA and 250 or more recruiters across all its courses. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Zoho and HDFC Bank are on the recruiter list. Escorts Kubota visited the campus on 16 May 2026.

DSU B.Tech Scholarships
The DSUJET Merit Scholarship pays up to INR 20,000 on your DSU entrance score, and a sports scholarship pays up to INR 20,000 for national level. In the Computing group, 80%% or more in Class 12 cuts tuition by INR 3.20 Lakhs over four years. Tamil Pudhalvan and Pudhumai Penn pay INR 1,000 a month to students from government schools.

DSU B.Tech Hostel and Campus
Hostel costs INR 90,000 a year for an eight-bed room with a common bathroom, and INR 2,25,000 a year for a three-bed AC room. Hostel is optional. The campus is on the Trichy to Chennai highway at Samayapuram, near the toll plaza. The university does not say whether the fee covers food.
