I came to know about this course from one of the counseling sessions. After securing a GPA of 7 in high-school, I had applied at this university. The college was one of the top colleges in the USA and developed students with a personal voice and expertise. The application process of the university was quite simple through a common application form. My application fee was around $65.
I learned the skills to solve marketing problems and how consumers make decisions. I immersed myself in real-world work through internships, student-run marketing groups, and entrepreneurship competitions. I even learned the art to sharpen my writing and presenting skills, so as to express my vision.
Emerson College has been ranked as having the number 1 journalism program in the country, which was a huge pull factor for me. I also love being in a city and love having a small campus feel while still being in a big city.
I like the course curriculum, however, some of the elective courses are a hit or miss. I also love the major course because I am able to do hands-on work in my field of study. I have learned a lot about important aspects of journalism and have been given the opportunity to practice them right away.
