International students who choose to apply at the University of Miami, whose native language is not English, including transfer students, are required to submit the results of the TOEFL/IELTS as proof of their proficiency in the English language. Visa Process for International Students

International students have to apply for a student Visa to Study in the USA issued by the US embassy. The embassy only issues the visa when the important documents are submitted along with the I-20 form, issued by the university the student is enrolled in. 

The University of Miami issues I-20 Form to admitted international students within a minimum of 10 business days from the date that the given requirements are met, submitted, and verified by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
