Programs, Campus and Accommodation

Campus

The main campus of Davidson College is spread in 665 acres with the suburban settings. The Davidson college provides world-class infrastructure and living conditions to its students.

E.H. Little Library is centrally located on campus, it has a different collection of books, films, periodicals, and government documents. The building includes facilities like wireless access, a 24-hour study room, electronic classroom, video viewing rooms, many seating options like study carrels, several lounges, etc.

The Wall Academic Center is developed in 149,000 square footage. It has 20 teaching labs, spaces for classroom and group investigations, 36 research labs,49 faculty offices for different departments. It also has an open forum space with a capacity of 150 people that provides a gathering place for the campus community.

It has a Baker-Watt Science Complex which has a Watson Life Science Building and Dana Science Laboratory. It also has many sports facilities like Baker Sports Complex, Richardson Stadium, Alumni Soccer Stadium, Wilson Baseball Field, tennis court, and golf course.

Housing Facilities/Residence

Courses

Davidson College offers an array of courses for international students which includes over 74 programs at undergraduate and graduate level that provide broad exposure to diverse thought and deep exploration within various fields.

The institute offers 29 majors and the opportunity for students to design their major through the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. Scholarships/Financial Aid

The college provides various kinds of financial aid for its aspirants including awards, grants and scholarships for international students to study in the USA. Some such studentships are discussed in detail below.

  1. Merit Scholarships are only awarded to international students having strong academic records and good test scores. The award can vary from 500 USD to the full cost of attendance. Approximately 10% of each enrolling class will be offered a merit scholarship and the award amount given to every student is determined by the quality, size, and characteristics of the overall applicant pool.
  2. Application Scholarship: These scholarships are for the students who have a significant interest in a particular field of study, service, or special talents in the arts, then they are eligible to receive an Application Scholarship. Application Scholarships are renewable if a student maintains a specified grade point average, makes expected progress toward the degree, and meets any scholarship-specific requirements. There are 6 such scholarships for the students having an interest in fields like theatre, music, creative writing, visual art, etc.
  3. Nomination Scholarships: These recognize and reward students who are the top rank holder. The Head of school or college may nominate one or two students per school or program for the Belk Scholarship and up to three candidates for the Bryan Scholarship or the Charles Scholarship. These are renewable for each of the remaining three years if students' grade point average and progress toward degree requirements are met, and you participate fully and vigorously in the life of the college. The institute provides 4 such scholarships. The maximum award for these scholarships is the full cost of attendance.
