University Of Evansville International Student Admissions

University of Evansville accepts international applicants, given that they meet the requirements which are different for different countries.

For freshman and transfer admission, UE works on a rolling basis, meaning that you can apply at any time for either the fall or the spring semester.

We recommend that you submit all your documents by June 1 if you are applying for the fall semester, and November 1 if you are applying for the spring semester.

Admission Requirements:

  • A Completed application.
  • Copy of the passport (photo page) OR Copies of the I-20 and visa if previously issued a U.S. student/other visa.
  • Official/stamped copies of all certificates, diplomas, and transcripts sent from secondary schools.
  • Official copies of all certificates, diplomas, and transcripts sent from your undergraduate university.
  • Proof of English proficiency.
  • GRE/GMAT results (at the discretion of the department chair)
  • Two letters of reference from professors and goals
  • A resume that reflects work history and goals
  • SEVIS Transfer Form, Copies of I-20/DS-2019, and I-94 card (if transferring from another US school).

Once accepted, an I-20 will be issued after you have provided the following:

Include financial documentation of your family's ability to pay costs incurred at the University. A current bank statement showing a balance that will cover school expenses for a minimum of one academic year as well as financial statements for the prior two months indicating deposits are being made regularly into the sponsor's account.

Students who have studied at another U.S. university should submit the SEVIS Transfer Form.

Obtaining your student visa

International applicants can apply for a student visa to study in the USA right after an application letter is issued. Students whose applications have been approved will be issued the I-20 Form from the University of Evansville.

Aspirants will be required to submit the following documents while applying for a visa:

  • I-94

Admission Requirements:

  1. Official High School Transcript or GED verification. For homeschooled students, a home-prepared transcript is acceptable. Candidates for admission to UE are expected to have studied a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, which includes high school subjects, at the minimum:
    • English – four years
    • Math – three years (four years highly recommended)
    • Sciences - three years, with at least two years being lab sciences (Chemistry required for engineering and nursing)
    • Social Sciences – three years
    • Foreign Language – two years recommended, but not required for admission consideration.
  2. The University of Evansville offers college-level credit to students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) program.
  3. Application essay. All applicants are recommended to submit an essay of 250-500 words.

By selecting the test optional, students will be reviewed based on the high school transcript to include but not limited to GPA, curriculum, and graduation track (AP, IB, Honors, etc.). In addition, students selecting test optional will be required to submit an essay.
