Gettysburg College was founded in 1832 and is dedicated to the study of liberal arts and science. The College has stood through the iconic battle at the civil war which has made the town popular. It has alumni consisting of TV actors to Nobel prize winners.

Gettysburg College Campus

The Gettysburg College spans across 225 acres of land and is located adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park. The main campus has around 90 buildings in total The campus has too much to offer to the students outside the classroom. Some of the services available on the campus are:

  • The College library has a vast collection of books, journals, sound recordings, videos, rare books and manuscripts which are always available to its students.
  • It also has a 225-seat recital hall with 10 station technology/piano lab and 16 practice rooms.
  • Also most importantly, Gettysburg has its science center which is an academic block designed to be equipped with the latest instruments and facilities for research work and study. It has the latest equipment like the 400 Mhz Spectrometer and a transmission electron microscope.
  • More than 120 clubs and organizations to participate in.

Gettysburg College Housing

  • About 90% of the students live on campus
  • There are first-year quads for freshers. They offer personal space, group lounges, and seminar rooms.
  • The names of them are The East Quad consists of Hanson, Huber, Patrick, and Musselman halls. Paul, Rice, and Stine halls comprise the West Quad.
  • The campus has its dining center known as Servo and also other eating areas like the Bullet Hole, the Dive, and the Commons Marketplace.
  • Some off-campus options are also offered in which a student can reside.

  • Gettysburg College offers various programs at the levels of undergraduate and Graduate
  • bachelor courses with 40 majors and 40 minors in the field of liberal arts and science.
  • Students have the flexibility to design their curriculum and choose a faculty advisor to guide throughout the course.
  • Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts in music is also a significant course at this college since this college has an excellent reputation in the field of music. Academic Requirements:

  • A student from a non-English speaking country is required to have English proficiency. He/she can appear in any of them. Given below is the minimum eligibility for the exams.
  • It is also recommended that the students should appear for the SAT/ ACT scores.
  • Students seeking admission in the graduate programs to appear in the GMAT or GRE exams.
  • The students are also required to have a minimum GPA score of 3.0.
