Rockhurst University accepts students on the basis of case by case review and multiple other factors. These factors include grades secured in high school, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and American College Testing Program (ACT) scores, class rank, letters of recommendation from school’s faculty members and administrators, achievements, awards and participation in extracurricular activities.

With approximately 3,000 students studying at the university, it offers numerous graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 50 fields of education. The university has been listed among the country’s only 12 teaching and learning leadership sites by the prestigious Carnegie Foundation for the high quality of education provided by it.

Rockhurst University Admission Deadlines

Rockhurst University has rolling admissions and the applications are reviewed as they are submitted. However, the university gives priority to applicants who send their applications for the upcoming freshman class by 1st December.

Rockhurst University International Student Admissions

The admission process for international students includes a few extra requirements. Students may be exempted from the deadlines and some requirements if they transfer from another U.S. establishment. These extra requirements are:

  • Fill an online admission application.
  • Written recommendation by a counselor is required.
  • A minimum SAT score of 950 or a minimum ACT composite and English category score of 20 is needed.
  • International students will have to submit TOEFL or iTEP scores or the proof of graduating from an English-medium high school or college as proof of English proficiency. A minimum score of 80 in online-based TOEFL and 3.9 in iTEP is required.
  • Official Statement of Finances directly from a bank or any other financial institution is needed.
  • Official academic credentials from high school, translated into English if required. Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) is recommended and a "course-by-course" report is required.

For international students, the deadline for submitting the application materials is 1st May for fall admission and 1st October for spring admission.

Financial Aid for international students

International students are not eligible for federal or state financial aid but they can secure merit scholarships of $9,500-20,000. Various scholarships for performing arts, athletics and writing are also available.
