Kent State University International Admissions

The Office of Global Education oversees Kent State University admissions of international students. If the applicants get admitted, the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) helps the students through the entire process. An advisor from ISSS will issue immigration documents and express mail them to the applicants. Requirements for international admissions:

  • Minimum GPA requirement is GPA ≥ 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale.
  • Secondary school graduation certificate/diploma/attending certificate.
  • Secondary school transcripts/detailed mark sheets
  • All transcripts should be accompanied by certified English translation and original language.
  • Financial guarantee (bank statements) are required to prove that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover educational and living expenses.

Applicants should prepare the following application documents before applying:

  • Passport biographical page.
  • English language proficiency scores.
  • Transcript/detailed mark sheets with certified English translation.
  • Bank statements.

Language Requirements for International Students

International undergraduate students must prove their English proficiency by obtaining one of the following:

Kent State University Graduate Admissions
