The University of La Verne offers 55 bachelor’s programs, 24 master’s programs, four doctorate programs along with a large number of certificates and credentials. It consists of four colleges namely the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business & Public Management, the LaFetra College of Education, and the College of Law. 

During the fall intake of 2018, a total of 7,276 students applied to the University of La Verne admissions and 51% of these students were admitted into the university. 

  • Due to complications surrounding the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), the university has decided to waive the application fee and letters of recommendation, and temporarily accept unofficial documents. Test results, including LSAT, CBEST, CSET, SAT and ACT test scores as well as Tuberculosis test results and Certificate of Clearance have also been temporarily waived until available 
  • The University of La Verne accepts admissions for three terms i.e. Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions. 
  • Students need to submit their official transcripts and certificates along with Receipt of the completed and signed application form, personal statement to the Office of Admission. 
  • All the international applicants need to provide all the required documents to the university at least a minimum of two months before the beginning of the semester. 
  • The students whose applications have been accepted by the college are required to submit a 200 USD tuition deposit by May 1. 
  • The University offers merit-based scholarships to international students and there is no separate application process required for applying to these scholarships.

University of La Verne International admissions

The university provides admission to international students who are able to fulfill the admission requirement of the university. The students should have passed their senior secondary exams during their application and submission of the official transcripts and documents to the university. All the documents submitted by the student should be postmarked from the university in their original out-going envelope (the envelope should not be written upon) and must be received within 30 days of their issue date.

Visa Process for International Students

After completing the application process and if all the documents are accepted and confirmed, the student will receive a letter from Undergraduate or Graduate Admissions offices stating that they are admitted to the program. The students are then required to pay a 200 USD non-refundable confirmation fee. The OISE will issue an I-20 if all information is provided accurately. After receiving the I-20, students can apply for a US Visa

The University of La Verne accepts admission of international applicants in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs under a variety of courses. Undergraduate students can either apply as a freshman or a transfer student depending upon the application requirements. Students are recommended to submit all documents by the deadlines in order to receive an I-20 timely and apply for a student visa. Priority Deadlines are:

Once this is complete, he/she may begin the housing application process. Students submitting both the tuition deposit and housing application and deposit by 1 May will be guaranteed housing.

Ans. Transcripts and test scores must be official, original documents. In addition, notarized or attested English translations of foreign transcripts are required. Facsimiles (faxes), scanned documents or photocopies are not acceptable for these documents. The copy of the passport page, bank statements, and the financial statement may be copied and submitted electronically.
