Lewis-Clark State College International Student Admissions

Lewis-Clark State College admission process for international applicants is same as that for the US applicants. However, International applicants have to meet additional requirements. Also, they have to carefully review their visa process.

Admission Requirements for International Students:

  • All transcripts/records from previously attended institutions
    • High school completion evidence/certificate
    • At least a 2.0 GPA in high school
    • Some applicants may be asked to submit original transcripts.
  • Applicants applying for Institute of Intensive English (except the ones applying for bridge program) do not have to submit high school transcripts and no proof of English proficiency is required.
  • Bank statement for financial evidence.
  • A copy of passport.
  • TOEFL/IELTS score as a proof of English proficiency.
  • Health insurance.

Language Requirements for International Students

Following are the language requirements to be fulfilled by international applicants.

*Bridge program is pre-level English language program taught at the Institute of Intensive English. After qualifying this program, the student fulfils the English proficiency and is eligible to study in the Lewis-Clark State College.

Visa process for International Students

  • International applicants will be issued Form I-20 from the Lewis-Clark State College after they get the admission. Applicants need to submit the following documents to get Form I-20
    • Copy of passport
    • Proof of financial support
    • Bank statement
    • Sponsor letter, if applicable
  • Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee
  • After this, the applicant is qualified to apply for F-1 visa

    • SAT score: Combined score of Critical reading and Math- 690; or
    • RSAT score: Combined score of evidence-based reading and writing, and math- 780; or
    • ACT score: 17
  • Meeting and completing Idaho Admission Standards.

After the college reviews the applications, a letter will be sent to the applicants stating if any additional credentials (e.g. test scores, high school transcripts or transfer transcripts) are needed before an admission decision can be made. A notification will be received of an admission decision within a week after receipt of all credentials.

Applicants may also view outstanding documents, their admission decision and transfer transcript evaluations on WarriorWeb once they receive their login information. Applicants will receive their login and password by mail shortly.
