KSU has approximately 2500 international students from about 100 countries. The applicants have to fulfil the following requirements to secure admission.

Applicants who don’t have these scores can apply for the Intensive English Program. The scores of TOEFL should be submitted through ETS and other scores from the test centres itself.

Visa process for international students

Applicants will have to apply for an F class student visa from the US embassy in their country. They are required to arrange all the documents and apply for an appointment for a U.S student visa interview through the VFS website.

  • A valid passport and previously issued passports
  • 2 or 3 recent passport size photograph.
  • DS-160 confirmation page with barcode
  • HDFC visa application fee receipts
  • VFS appointment letter
  • SEVIS receipt and I-120 (This will be issued from the university, once your Confidential Statement of Financial Support Form is received by the office of admission.

The applicants should check the application status regularly. It will take at least 3 weeks for the status of the application to update. The applicants can check the application status on keys.kent.edu. The university evaluates the application only after it receives all the documents and the application. The academic credentials are evaluated and also the English Proficiency scores. This process takes about 3 weeks and then the application is sent to the academic department in which the applicant has applied. The faculty in the academic unit takes the final admission decision. The applicants will be notified in writing if they have been selected.
