Program Description

The Michigan Law LLM provides a flexible program of study, allowing students to specialize as a student, explore new areas of interest. LLM degree consists primarily of courses and seminars and requires students to complete a research paper under faculty supervision on a topic of their choice. The LLM degree is awarded upon completion of 24 credits with at least a 2.7 average in two terms (eight months) of study.

Work Study

Students who want to work at the University of Michigan or with a university-approved off-campus employer must first complete the online Student Employment Application. The student will need to earn basic Work-Study award amounts during the academic year (approximately 30 weeks).
