• Credit or debit card in MyMav through TouchNet: every card payment carries a non-refundable 2.25% convenience fee.
• Forex card: it counts as a card payment, so the 2.25% fee applies. Keep it for living costs, where it typically saves 2-3% over a wire.
• Education-loan disbursement: ask your lender to disburse through Flywire. Wire payments carry no convenience fee.
• E-check or ACH: free, but it needs a US bank account, so it suits your second semester onward.
• International check or demand draft: accepted above $300 (INR 28,767), with a $35 (INR 3,356) processing charge. UTA stopped taking cash on January 1, 2026.
